Match Prediction: Oh My God - Victory Five | LoL
LPL Spring 2022 - Group Stage (Week 1-5)We analyze and make predictions for the last match of the second day of the fourth gaming week of the spring split from China. As part of the LPL Spring 2022, Oh My God and Victory Five will meet.
In the left corner of the ring we have Oh My God, who started this split in the best way for themselves, but were not ready for a couple of losses from strong teams, which broke their spirit a little. But it seems that they have already gathered their strength and are ready to fight again.
In the right corner of the ring is a team from Macau - Victory Five. During this tournament, we have seen them, so far, the least, but the players show an extremely worthy performance. They have not yet had to play with the favorites and they go with a score of 3-1, stepping on their opponent's heels.
Oh My God shape
Good performance. Understanding your team. Good tactical decisions.
This is how I would describe playing Oh My God in the first week, but the picture changed a lot over the next two in-game weeks. The team lost twice to rather strong rosters, which was expected, but flying away from LGD was too much even for them.
Again, the “great annual reshuffle” did not spare the China region and OMG as well. Apart from Demacia Cup 2021, where some of the teams could only try out their new rosters, this tournament was the first serious test for the new team line-up. They proved to be the best possible image, at the moment.
Earlier I wrote that I see only a good game. I couldn't say more, because in the meetings with ThunderTalk Gaming and Anyone's Legend the players from OMG did not show their limits. And even at the game with Invictus Gaming, we could not see their peak potential, because iG is now literally playing an academic roster.
The stumbling block was Bilibili Gaming, which I mentioned earlier. The first game was taken by OMG, but starting from the second, an experienced opponent adapted to the game and began to catch them on mistakes.
As I thought, this defeat was the first in their black streak and spoiled the morale of the players. The match against EDward Gaming only intensified the effect, so much so that OMG managed to lose against the underdog represented by LGD.
And they had only two options left: either to realize the mistakes after the match with LGD and gather their will into a fist, or go on tilt even more. To my surprise, they chose the first one and were able to take out Top Esports with a score of 2:0.
Then there was a two-week break, which, I'm sure, benefited the OMG players.
Oh My God line-up:
- Shanji is top lane.
- Aki - forest.
- Creme - mid lane.
- Able - bot lane.
- COLD - support.
Victory Five shape
The “great annual reshuffle” came and changed everything. In short, the V5 roster for this season had about the same fate.
The organization obviously did not skimp on money, because they hired two top Koreans from iG and Gen.G with NS Redforce, as well as an equally strong and experienced jungler from Taiwan.
Victory Five, in my opinion, have not yet shown themselves strongly. It is difficult for me to judge the strength of the team by their game, but so far they seem to be relatively good, but unstable.
V5 chronologically defeated Team WE and Rare Atom, giving away one card each time, which is not a very good indicator against average teams.
Then they were able to defeat Top Esports, also with a score of 2:1. But immediately after defeating a relatively experienced team, they fly off Weibo Gaming, who seem to be plus or minus equal in strength to the V5 themselves.
The only thing I don't really like about Victory Five's strategy is some of their picks and all-in fights.
Composition of the Victory Five:
- Rich - top lane.
- Karsa - forest.
- Rookie - mid lane.
- Photic - bot lane.
- ppgod - support.
Meeting history
Both teams have known each other for 3 years and during this period they met in head-to-head matches 6 times. Victory Five won 4 times, and Oh My God won 2 times, respectively.
Moreover, over the past two seasons, OMG and V5 have played one-on-one, which can indicate a nominally equal balance of power.
Match result
Forecasts and rates are one way or another a risk. Specifically, this meeting will be interesting and, as they say, head to head, as far as I can tell.
Bookmakers believe more in the victory of V5, which, in my opinion, is not entirely fair, because their strategic decisions are flawed and they like to give at least one card even to weak opponents.
I would recommend betting on total over 2.5 here. Or at 2:1 in favor of Oh My God, if there is an acute desire to take risks.
Bookmakers & Statistics
All bookmakers have agreed that Victory Five is the favorite. This can be noticed because odds on them are 1.59. This number in the favor of Oh My God amounts 2.369. Respectively, the last ones are the underdogs of the upcoming match.
If you stand in solidarity with bookmaker companies and think that Victory Five will prevail, at you will find the best odds on the team — 1.6. If in your opinion, the outsider achieved victory in the match, you can make the most profitable bet on Oh My God at because odds on their triumph are equal to 2.448.
