Welcome to EGamersWorld.
The League of Legends professional season continues in all title regions. China, with its LPL, is no exception.
At LPL Spring 2025, the group stage is in full swing. And while some baskets like B and C already know the teams that will make it to the play-offs, nothing is certain in Group D.
We will watch the NiP vs RNG match, where each team needs a win. We will try to see who will be stronger and earn important points ahead of the play-offs.
Let's go.
NiP's form
Let's open the NiP vs RNG match with an analysis of NiP's form. In this match they play as favourites with odds to win at around 1.2.
The first tournament for the "ninjas" was LPL Spring 2023. NiP finished in the top-13, which is not a terrible result for their debut.
- NiP lineup: Shanji, AKi, Doinb, Leave, ppgod.
After the Top 13 at LPL Spring 2023, Ninjas in Pyjamas resorted to stand-ins. These affected both management and the playing staff. The changes were clearly beneficial, because in the summer split NiP looked fresh and deservedly passed in the play-offs LPL Summer 2023. In the group stage, NiP finished in the top 10 and made it to the play-offs, where they even managed to get through the first round and ended up in the top 8.
In between LPL Summer 2023 and Demacia Cup 2023, NiP visited NEST 2023. They didn't play seriously there and made it to the top 8.
At Demacia Cup 2023 NiP look quite good. They confidently passed the group stage, winning all their matches.
NiP continued to show class in the play-offs. The first match of the main stage was against the vice-champions of Worlds 2023 Weibo Gaming. And not just played, but won - in a serious fight (3-2). As a result of Demacia Cup 2023 NiP managed to get into the top 4, where "Ninjas" met with Bilibili and lost.
In the group stage of LPL Spring 2024, NiP, I would say, played better than what was expected of them. They finished in the top 5, which allowed them to go straight into the second round of play-offs.
LPL Spring 2024 started the main stage with a pretty tough win over Team WE. NiP won with a score of 3-2. Then another win and this time against FPX and again 3-2. And with Bilibili Gaming NiP did not cope, but managed to take the map - 1-3. As a result, the top 4, which was a very good result for the club.
At the LPL Summer 2024 NiP Long Competed from Group D, where they took TOP-2. Rumble Stage LPL Summer 2024 was quite tough and NiP took the last line, playing it with a score of 0-8. They qualified for the play-offs after defeating Rare Atom in the so-called Decider round. However, after a very disappointing group stage, they played pretty well in the play-offs, making it through two rounds and finishing LPL Summer 2024 in the top 6. After LPL Summer 2024, they played the Chinese regional finals, finishing in the top 4.
They started the 2025 season very confidently. They are 2-0 in their group at LPL Spring 2025.

Royal Never Give Up
We continue our analysis of the Royal Never Give Up - Ninjas in Pyjamas match with an analysis of RNG's form. In this match, they are playing the number two side with odds to win at around 3.
Last year, RNG won the LPL Spring 2022, then triumphed in the MSI 2022 final and also qualified for the Worlds 2022 where they finished in the top 8.
In the new season, however, Long Corner was worse than before. In the first regional round of the LPL - LPL Spring 2023 - RNG finished top-8.
- RNG's lineup: Xiaoxu, Milkyway, Tangyuan, JiaQi, Lele
So far, RNG are moving towards repeating the history of six months ago. They need to step up and improve their performance in the standings, then they can automatically avoid the top 8.
In the LPL Summer 2023 group stage, Royal Never Give Up finished in the top 7. They fell one position short of reaching the second round of the main stage and now need to play more matches.
In the first round of play-offs LPL Summer 2023 RNG played against NiP. Being the favourite of the series, the title Chinese club Ledgeil their vis-a-vis, and Ledgeil with the score 1-3. As a result - the top 10 of the tournament.
Apparently, the absolutely failed last season affected the mood of RNG in the new one. They seriously approached the game at NEST 2023 and did not know any defeats in the group stage: they beat Bilibili, Anyone's Legend and Invictus Gaming. In the play-offs Royal Never Give Up continued their triumphal march, which eventually resulted in the championship at the local tournament.
RNG looked good at Demacia Cup 2023 as well. At least, they managed to get out of their group by winning all their matches, which is nothing. However, they didn't manage to play long at Demacia Cup 2023, as they ran into Bilibili Gaming in the play-offs and lost.
In the 2024 season, RNG looked and look so bad. The team managed to finish top-14 at LPL Spring 2024 and top-17 at LPL Summer 2024 and top-6 at NEST 2024.
The last tournament of the 2024 season was the Demacia Cup. There, RNG played to match their 2024 season Top-12 performance.
In the 2025 season, at LPL Spring 2025, Royal Never Give Up were outplayed by FPX and lost to IG, which put them in a "suspended state".
