We continue to follow what's happening at Demacia Cup 2024. Slowly but surely, the group stage of the main tournament of the off-season is gaining momentum.
We are talking about Group B, where the basket of 4 teams will include Invictus Gaming and Ninjas in Pyjamas. They will play each other in a bo1 match.
We try to figure out which of the pair of famous clubs will manage to pick up the win and earn the points needed to qualify for the play-offs.

NiP Form
We open the NiP vs Invictus Gaming match with an analysis of the Ninjas in Pyjamas form. In this match they play as favourites with odds to win around 1.5.
The first tournament for Ninjas in Pyjamas was LPL Spring 2023. There NiP took the top-13, which is not a terrible result for the debut.

NiP continued to show class in the play-offs. The first match of the main stage was against the vice-champions of Worlds 2023 Weibo Gaming. And not just played, but won - in a serious fight (3-2). As a result of Demacia Cup 2023 NiP managed to get into the top 4, where "Ninjas" met with Bilibili and lost.
In the group stage of LPL Spring 2024, NiP, I would say, played better than what was expected of them. They finished in the top 5, which allowed them to go straight into the second round of play-offs.
LPL Spring 2024 started the main stage with a pretty tough win over Team WE. NiP won with a score of 3-2. Then another win and this time against FPX and again 3-2. And with Bilibili Gaming NiP did not cope, but managed to take the map - 1-3. As a result, the top 4, which was a very good result for the club.
At the LPL Summer 2024 NiP Long Competed from Group D, where they took TOP-2. Rumble Stage LPL Summer 2024 was quite tough and NiP took the last line, playing it with a score of 0-8. They qualified for the play-offs after defeating Rare Atom in the so-called Decider round. But in the main stage NiP picked up their spirits: they beat LGD Gaming and JD Gaming in turn, but fell out of the tournament after losing to Weibo in the third round.
After a surprise top-6 finish at LPL Summer 2024, Ninjas in Pyjamas finished top-4 at LPL Regional Finals 2024.

NiP's top line is taken by Jax (3 matches, 33% wins), Gwen (2 matches, 50% wins), Gangplank (2 matches, 50% wins), Jayce (2 games, 50% wins).
In the woods, Maokai (7 matches, 42% wins), Sejuani (4 games, 25% wins), Vi (3 games, 66% wins) were permanent.
The centre line was most often occupied by Sylas (5 matches, 40% wins), Ryze (3 games, 100% wins), Akali (2 games, 0 wins).
Zeri and Sivir peaked equally often on the shooter position. Both heroes appeared 4 times, but the former won all his games, and the latter - none.
Ashe appeared most often amongst the Spurrots. Archer was chosen 5 times and won 2 matches. Yuumi (4 matches, 75% wins), Heimerdinger (4 matches, 25% wins) were also frequently played.
Invictus Gaming uniforms
We continue the analysis of the IG - Ninjas in Pyjamas match with the Invictus Gaming form analysis. In this match they play as the number two with odds to win around 3.4.
IG were once a threat not only on the local scene, but also outside of it. In 2018, for example, the team became the first Chinese world champions, but since then, they've lost momentum.
IG's last landmark achievement was a top-3 finish at the 2020 LPL Regional Finals. The last result was Top 11 at LPL Spring 2023, where IG was literally 2 series wins short of making it to the play-offs.

Already in the first weeks it became clear that we shouldn't put much hope on IG. At the end of the season it is absolutely clear that IG is one of the worst teams in the draw and they will surely be re-struggling.
LPL Summer 2023 IG played in their own way. They finished in the top 12 without making it to the play-offs of the tournament. Then there were local championships like Esports Shanghai Masters 2023 where the team finished top-3, and NEST 2023 was a complete failure with a top-16 finish.
Before the Long Convergence LPL Spring 2024 Invictus Gaming played at the local championship called NEST 2023, as well as at Demacia Cup 2023. At the two championships IG did not have high results: NEST ended for IG without even starting, because the team did not get out of the group stage having played it with the score 0-3, and at Demacia Cup 2023 the group was played with the score 3-1, but it was not enough for play-offs.
In the 2024 season they continued to play in the LPL. At LPL Spring 2024, they finished in the top 10, and then at LPL Summer 2024 they finished in the top 13.
Demacia Cup 2024 started with a solid win over LGD Gaming Youth.
