Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue to follow the action at the LEC Summer 2025 Playoffs. The summer split of the European Prime League is coming to its logical conclusion.
Although The International rigmarole around the championship remains, the main question remains the fate of the last slot at Worlds 2025 from Europe. Fnatic and Karmine Corp will play for it in a bo5 match.
We will see who of the pair Fnatic - Karmine Corp will be stronger, will qualify for the next stage of play-offs, but most importantly - will earn a slot for LoL World Championship 2025.
Let's go.
How The bookie view it: Draw
Ahead of the Long Sogpeg virtually decisive match at the LEC Summer 2025, the bookies are not favouring anyone. Both clubs are given odds of 1.8 to win.
Fnatic form: What to expect from Fnatic
Fnatic started their ascent to the LEC 2023 Regional Finals with an appearance at LEC Winter 2023. It wasn't a successful one, as the Orange finished in 9th place and didn't make it out of the group stage.
The following season, Fnatic gave one last chance to roster with Rekkles. They failed to use it, as FNC, after coming out of the group stage, lost in the first match against MAD Lions, thus ending the spring split on the top 8.
- Fnatic lineup: Oscarinin, Razork, Humanoid, Upset, Mikyx.
Two terrible splits resulted in major re-splits. ADC Rekkles and support Advienne left the band. In their place came Korean legionnaire Noah and experienced support Trymbi. The result was not long in coming.
Fnatic looked much better at the LEC summer split than at the two previous ones. The team managed to make it through the group stage and then made it to the top 3 of LEC Summer 2023, which allowed them to advance to the regional finals. Here's the truth, to the bottom set.
Fnatic played against Excel - the main opener of LEC Summer 2023 - in the match to advance to the Top 4 and won. They won 3-2 in a tense bo5.
In the match for the LEC Finals 2023 Small Final, Fnatic and BDS had a real fight (3-2), and Fnatic ended up here.
They also managed to beat MAD Lions, with whom they played for a place in the grand final. And again, the full-fledged bo5 with a score of 3-2 in favour of the Orange. But the grand final was not enough: G2 Esports beat Fnatic 3-1.
At Worlds 2023, Orange played to the best of their ability. The club lost the first match against LNG Esports, and then outplayed the Vietnamese from GAM Esports.
The last match on the way to a 1-2 set was a match against BLG, which Fnatic legitimately lost. Then FNC defeated C9 with a score of 2-1, and in the match for play-offs Ledge and WBG. The latter, by the way, became the vice-champion of the World Championship, so the result for the European club was excellent.
Fnatic will debut at LEC Winter 2024 with a match against Karmine Corp. Based on the experience of previous seasons, there is every chance to see the favourite (which is Fnatic) lose in that match. Next, they will face Vitality and this is where I would bet in favour of the Orange. That's pretty much how it turned out, except for the match against Karmine Corp: Fnatic closed two series, but lost in the match against SK Gaming.
Fnatic had a pretty good start to the regular season, but it got worse from there. Fnatic finished the regular season with a score of 5-4. The LEC Winter 2024 playoffs "Orange Longsong" with a very confident victory against MAD Lions. Next, Fnatic played against G2 Esports and looked good there, even managing to snatch a card, which no one has managed to do so far.
In the match for the quarter-finals Fnatic met with SK Gaming. The German club put up a fight, but Fnatic were stronger: 2-1 in favour of Humanoid and company guaranteed their passage to the top 4 of LEC Winter 2024.
In the next match, Fnatic were able to fight G2 Esports and take the map away from them, but they were unable to surpass the Samurai in the match. Fnatic also failed to get a grip on the tournament in the lower grid, where Fnatic lost to KOI with a score of 2-3. At the end of LEC Winter 2024, Fnatic finished in the top 4.
LEC Spring 2024 Fnatic finished the LEC Spring 2024 regular season in the top spot, something the team hasn't had since 2019. In the first round of the play-offs, Fnatic shut out GIANTX on a classy basis. In the match to advance to the upper grid finals, LEC Spring 2024 faced G2 and lost 0-2 without a chance. In the lower grid, they also had difficulties, like in the game against Heretics, but in the end they were able to defeat their counterparts with a score of 2-1 and move on. In the match for the top 3, Fnatic met Vitality and confidently ran them over with a score of 3-1.
For the grand final of LEC Spring 2024 Fnatic fought against BDS and it was a real spectacle: the "orange" were 0-2 down, but they made a reverse sweep and closed the series in their favour. As a result, Fnatic will also go to MSI 2024. In the grand finals of LEC Spring 2024 Orange played against G2 Esports and lost that match.
Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 Fnatic started off with a 2-0 win over GAM Esports without any problems at all. In the top set match they met Top Esports and put up a good fight: they took the map, but eventually lost the series with a 1-2 score. In the MSI 2024 Fnatic again defeated GAM Esports 2-0 in the play-offs match. In the first Bracket Stage match, they lost to Gen.G with a score of 0-3, but they showed the game. But in the lower Bracket Stage match, Fnatic very unexpectedly lost to TL with a score of 1-3, thus leaving MSI 2024 at the Top 8 stage.
Prior to the Esports World Cup 2024 Long Convergence, Fnatic confidently advanced to the LEC Summer 2024 play-offs. As a result of EWC 2024 Fnatic finished in the top-8. On the home stage, they finished top-2 at LEC Summer 2024 and LEC Finals 2024. However, one of Fnatic's most important achievements is getting to Worlds 2024, where the Orange managed to finish in the top 14.
The team passed the group stage of LEC Winter 2025 with great confidence. They only gave up 1 card for the group stage, finishing it with a score of 9-1. Playoffs Long Sogpegovali also confidently, defeating Heretics with a score of 2-0. Next up was a match against G2 Esports and a 0-2 loss. In the lower grid match of LEC Winter 2025, Fnatic played against BDS, where they barely won with a score of 2-1, mostly due to a "drain" from BDS on the third map. In the next match they looked much more confident, beating KOI 3-1. But we failed to win against KC: 2-3 and the final top 3.
The group stage of LEC Spring 2025 Fnatic passed, as they call it, in class. "Orange" played with a score of 7-2 and took the top 2 of the group. Playoffs Long Sogpegovali with a defeat against G2 Esports. GiantX were expectedly beaten in the bottom set. However, in the next round of the lower grid Fnatic met Karmine Corp, who demolished Fnatic with a score of 3-0. As a result - top 4 for Fnatic.
At LEC Summer 2025, Fnatic finished top-2 in Group B, Ledge topped by G2 Esports. They started the LEC Summer 2025 Playoffs with a 2-3 loss to KOI, and followed it up with a win over GiantX in the second round of the lower bracket.

Karmine Corp form: What to expect from KC
Despite its great popularity in Europe, Karmine Corp is a newcomer to the LEC league. The French team has previously played on the local scene, competing against compatriots, and has also played in various TIR-2 events within the LEC ecosystem.
For 2023, the teami has a very strong record with appearances in 4 tournaments. For professional teams in League of Legends, this is significant, as most of them play exclusively in a single league.
Karmine Corp started with LFL Spring 2023 and started off horribly. At the local league the team played 7-11 in the group stage, which was not even enough to qualify for the play-offs.
Things improved significantly from there and Karmine Corp lifted the championship trophy over their heads twice in a row. The first time at LFL Summer 2023 and the second time at EMEA Masters Summer 2023. Incidentally, Masters Karmine Corp have won 4 times in the team's history and that is a significant statistic.
The last tournament of last season was the Coup De France 2024 championship. Either there was no priority for the event, or they were not in shape at all, but KC took the top 8 there.
- Karmine Corp line-up: Canna, Yike, Vladi, Caliste, Targamas.
Karmine Corp joined the LEC by purchasing a slot from Astralis. The Danish club, which did not achieve results last season, decided to sell its place in the prestigious league. Whether they did the right thing - we will find out later.
In the first match of LEC Winter 2024 Karmine Corp will play against Fnatic. In that match I believe in the victory of Karmine. After that - the game against G2 Esports and there Karmine Corp will be much more difficult. However, with Fnatic everything turned out to be the opposite: KC won, and with G2 Esports - everything is logical, an easy victory for the "samurai".
Karmine Corp officially became the worst team of LEC Winter 2024 ahead of time. Before Long Sogpeg of their last match in the regular season, KC have a stat line of 1-7, with their only win coming in week 3 against SK Gaming. The only treat was the prestige point that Karmine Corp got in their last group stage match.
At LEC Spring 2024, Karmine Corp repeated their "success" of the winter split. That is, they again took the last line, and with the identical result of 2 wins and 7 losses.
At the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs, they made it to the LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs from 5th place with a score of 4-5. They debuted in the play-offs with a match against G2 Esports, where they lost 0-2. Karmine Corp rather unexpectedly ran over MAD Lions KOI in the first round of the lower bracket, shutting out the more titled opponent 2-0. Next, they won again and again over a more titled opponent in the form of SK Gaming. In the end, they managed to reach the top 4, but then the fuse was not enough and BDS knocked Karmine Corp out of the tournament.
The group stage of LEC Winter 2025 Karmine Corp did well. Canna and company shared the second line of the group stage table with G2 and KOI, coming away with a 6-3 win. In the first round of play-offs Karmine Corp confidently outplayed Team Vitality, and went on to beat KOI with a similar win. Against G2 it was a very different situation and resulted in a 1-3 defeat. KOI barely defeated Fnatic 3-2 in the bottom set, but in the grand finals something happened: Karmine Corp literally destroyed G2, beating the best team in Europe 3-0, leaving the "samurai" no chance.
At First Stand 2025, Karmine Corp did not play their best game. The LEC champions played 1-3, but thanks to coincidence and map difference, they qualified for the play-offs. In the grand final match they played a tough bo5 against CFO and came out stronger. In the grand finals LEC champions Karmine Corp lost to HLE with the score 1-3.
Karmine Corp won the group stage of LEC Spring 2025 finishing 8-1. In the first play-offs match, Ledge and KOI were very unexpected, losing the match with a score of 2-3. After being in the bottom set of the play-offs, Heretics won, and then rolled Fnatic, securing their place in the top 3. However, they failed to move further into the top 3, KOI prevented them from doing so. As a result, the champions of LEC Spring 2025 took the 3rd place.
At LEC Summer 2025 Karmine Corp played in Basket A, where they finished second. At the LEC Summer 2025 play-offs Long Sogpeg started with a match against G2 Esports, where they were weaker, losing 1-3. In the next round, KC confidently defeated Vitality by a score of 3-1.
Karmine Corp most popular champions
Gragas (3 matches, 100% wins) and Kennen (3 matches, 66% wins) remain the most popular and successful champions on the top line.
Wukong (6 games, 33% wins) and Sejuani (4 matches, 100% wins) play in the forest.
The centre line is played with Ahri (4 matches, 0% wins), Tristana (3 matches, 100% wins) and Syndra (3 matches, 100% wins).

Fnatic - Karmine Corp Head-to-Head.
The teams have played each other 4 times in the 2025 season. Absolute draw: 2-2.
Predicted result of the match between Fnatic - Karmine Corp at LEC Summer 2025 Playoffs
In this match I expect an equal game. Both teams showed a good summer split, and in play-offs they look like equal opponents. I'm sure there will be a full-fledged Bo5, but it's a difficult task to pick a winner between these teams. However, let it be KC, still the stronger team this season.
Prediction: Karmine Corp win.
