European Masters Summer 2021: Group C Results

After the first round robin in Group C, three teams shared 1st place with stats 2-1: BIG, Fnatic Rising and Illuminar Gaming. These teams had to find out one thing: which of them is superfluous?

BIG opened the game day with a victory over Zero Tenacity: this game turned out to be fatal for the Balkans and they lost their chances of getting to the next stage of the tournament.

This was followed by a principled duel between Fnatic Rising and Illuminar Gaming. In case of victory, one of the teams greatly simplified life for itself and made the task for the losing team almost impossible. FNCR, thanks to the well-coordinated work of the topper and the forester, were able to take the victory in an important match for themselves and, like BIG, strengthened their position before the final games.

Fnatic Rising continued their victorious march in Group C and in the next match defeated Zero Tenacity, almost certainly securing a place in the quarter-finals.

BIG put a fat point in the fight for the playoffs: having beaten Illuminar Gaming, they deprived the Poles of a chance to pass further. It remains only to find out which of the teams will take the first place.

In a stubborn match with coups and an incredible game from MAXI, BIG won and it is they who advance to the quarter-finals from the first place.
