European Masters Summer 2021: Group B Results

Add as a Preferred Source

Before moving on to the results of yesterday's matches, let's refresh our memory a little the results of the first round of the group stage for Quartet B.

The favorites of the group, Movistar Riders, were naturally in first place with a 3-0 record, followed by just one game between PDW and Trciked Esports. Newcomers to EU Masters, PENTA 1860, failed in the first round and had to win all maps to have a chance to make it.

The day opened with two matches, in which the favorites managed to gain the upper hand without any problems, which made life much more difficult for the teams in 3rd and 4th places: Movistar Riders outplayed Tricked Esports, and PDW dealt with PENTA 1860. Thanks to this victory, the Spaniards have already secured their passage further, and PENTA 1860 already lost even mathematically the chances of qualifying from the group.

Tricked Esports could still catch on if they won the two remaining matches, but they did not succeed: literally in the next meeting, they met face to face with their opponents for the second line in the group, PDW, and lost an important match for themselves.

Movistar Riders and PDW qualify for the quarter finals, but who's from where? After the remaining matches in the group, there was an equal situation between these teams. The fate of the first place was decided on a tiebreaker.

In the last match of Group B, the Spaniards were stronger and took the first place, and therefore the best seed for the quarterfinals.
