European Masters Summer 2021 Play-In: eight elimination stage participants have formed

The group stage of the European Masters Summer 2021 Play-In has come to an end. Now we know which of the participants made it to the playoffs of the tournament and will compete for four invitations to the main stage.

In Group A, White Dragons and Team Phantasma performed best, overtaking Sector One and GOEXANIMO. Movistar Riders and Fnatic Rising became the best in Group B, which could not be beaten by Iron Wolves and mCon esports Rotterdam. In Group C, Crvena Zvezda Esports and Karma Clan Esports were unable to advance to the playoffs, yielding this opportunity to players from Outplayed and SINNERS Esports. In Group D, mousesports and AGO ROGUE were better than Vitality.Bee and eSuba.

In addition, we already know how the game pairs were formed in the elimination stage. They will look like this:

  • White Dragons vs Fnatic Rising
  • Movistar Riders vs Team Phantasma
  • Outplayed vs AGO ROGUE
  • mousesports vs SINNERS Esports

All matches will take place on August 19 and will determine the next four participants in the main group stage. The latter will take place from 30 August to 7 September. There, all matches will be held in the Bo1 format, and according to its results, the eight best teams of the European Masters Summer 2021 will be determined, which will perform in the final stage. The playoffs will start on September 9 and end on the 19th, and all matches will be played in the Bo5 format.

European Masters Summer 2021 is a tournament that runs from August 16 to September 19. The total prize pool for the championship is € 150,000 (≃ $ 176,000). Only the top 16 participants of the event participate in the distribution of the prize money. The teams battle it out for the top bounty of € 40,000 (~ $, 46.940). The vice-champion will receive the second largest prize in the form of € 25,000 ($ 29,340), while the bronze medalist will earn € 13,500 ($ 15,840).
