RED Canids will represent Brazil at Mid-Season Invitational 2022

CBLOL Split 1 2022 has ended. At the championship, which was held from January 22 to April 23 in a mixed format, ten Brazilian teams fought for a prize pool of $86,553, as well as a ticket to the Mid-Season Invitational 2022. The winner of the tournament was the RED Canids team, which in a tense grand final, they beat paiN Gaming with a score of 3:2.

The tournament for the future winner began at the group stage, during which RED Canids got 11 wins and suffered 7 losses. However, the Brazilian team managed to make it to the playoffs, where they lost to KaBuM! in the semifinals! e-Sports (0:3).

However, RED Canids managed to find their game in the lower bracket as the team outplayed Liberty (3:2), FURIA Esports (3:1) and KaBuM! e-Sports (3:1), making it to the grand final. In the decisive match, the team managed to hold out against paiN Gaming (3:2), thanks to which they qualified for the Mid-Season Invitational 2022.

The current roster of Mid-Season Invitational 2022 is as follows: G2 Esports, T1, Team Aze, ORDER, DetonatioN FocusMe, İstanbul Wildcats, RED Canids, Saigon Buffalo, PSG Talon and Royal Never Give Up. Note that the team from China will perform remotely at the championship due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic.

  • 3rd place: KaBuM! e-Sports - $10,819

  • 6th place: Miners.gg - $6,492
  • 7th place: LOUD - $5,410.
  • 8th place: Rensga Esports - $4,328.
  • 9th place: Flamengo Esports - $3,246.
