Vizicsacsi to compete with PEACE at the 2021 World Championship
Ihor MatusKeyes 'Vizicsacsi' Tamas, renowned Hungarian League of Legends player, will once again play on the professional League of Legends scene. The esportsman will replace Yao 'Apii' Xiang Xing, a PEACE player who will not be able to participate in the upcoming event. The reason for this was visa problems that arose against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. PEACE will begin their journey from the Play-In stage. The team, by the way, became the only representative of the Oceania region, which will attend the 2021 World Championship.
The organizers of the event held the draw in such a way that PEACE got into Group A and will compete there against such opponents as Hanwha Life Esports, LNG Esports, Infinity and RED Canids.
In November 2019, Keyes 'Vizicsacsi' Tamas announced the end of his esports career. Before leaving, he finished 5th-8th at the 2020 World Championship with Splyce. In addition, the Hungarian player has other significant career achievements behind him. The esportsman has repeatedly taken second places in seasonal splits: IEM Season IX - San Jose, EU LCS Spring 2015, EU LCS Spring 2017 and EU LCS Summer 2018. The player also won Intel Extreme Masters Oakland 2016 and took second place at Rift Rivals 2017: NA vs EU. All of the above achievements, with the exception of the second place at EU LCS Summer 2018, Kizu Tamasu got under the Unicorns of Love tag. He became the silver medalist in the summer European split 2018 under the tag Schalke 04 Esports. After completing his playing career, Vizicsacsi became part of MAD Lions as a coach.
The League of Legends World Championship kicks off on October 5 and will run for a month. The event will end on November 6. The total prize fund of the championship will be $ 2,225,000, and it will be distributed by 22 teams that managed to break into the tournament thanks to their achievements in the seasonal regional leagues.
PEACE will compete at the 2021 World Championship with the following roster:
