Match Prediction: Hydra - One Move | Dota 2
DPC 2023 Tour 2: EEU Division I (Upper)Dota is slowly returning to our screens with stable top division matches. In Eastern Europe, Dota is also heating up.
Meet the second match of the first game day of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division - Tour 1, a duel between Hydra and One Move. The signings are top-notch, but the game will not be without intrigue.
One Move retained their place in the top division after their performance at DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division - Tour 1. The team finished the first round 2-5.
Hydra are newcomers to the EEU Upper Division. After a long run, Hydra broke through to the elite league via a win in the second division of the first round.
Here's a look at which of the unseen clubs will earn their first and very important points in the opening match of the second round of the top division.
One Move Form
Let's start the match review with an analysis of One Move's form. They will be playing this match as favourites.
Bookmakers believe more in the success of the "permanent residents" of the top division. The odds of Hydra winning this encounter are estimated at odds in the region of 1.8.
Looking at the number and it becomes clear that the difference in strength of the teams in this encounter is symbolic. In fact, we're facing two identical teams, based on the bookmaker's valuations.
One Move line-up
One Move has a rather funny story. The team has not changed anyone since last December, and for a club of this level, that's already a sign.
One Move players
- Munkushi~
- Ainkrad
- AfterLife
- Gilgir

Coach G has joined One Move in the new year. Apparently, the club's management want to take the prospect of competing in the top division of Eastern Europe seriously and have no plans to trade players.
There is synergy in the team, as evidenced by last season. Still, they managed to claw their way into the elite league after a very disappointing status.
One Move's performance
One Move finished last season in 5th place in the DPC. The team won 2 matches and 5.
One Move last round DPC managed to beat Darkside and Nemiga Gaming, which eventually led them to replay for 5th place. One Move won those replay games, further indicating the team's character. This is a rarity for the "middles" of the Eastern European region, who are used to breaking down halfway and solving problems through transfers.
After DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division - Tour 1, the team took part in the local tournament Games of Future 2023. They faced clubs like Keyd Stars, ALPHA and Matreshka and of course, they caused no problems for OM: the team won the tournament without giving up a single card.
One Move Heroes
In patch 7.32 and in recent tournaments, One Move are playing meta, but not without experimentation. Mirana (4 games, 50% wins), Rubick (4 games, 50% wins), Lycan (3 games, 66% wins), Storm Spirit (3 games, 66% wins).
Let's see how much the draft approach will change in patch 7.32e.
Hydra Form
Continuing the match review with an analysis of Hydra's playing form. They are set to be the catch-up team in this encounter.
The bookmakers know Hydra's strength, but are cautiously leaving them behind for now. The odds on One Move to win are around 1.9.
The 0.1 difference in the odds is not a difference at all. We can assume we're facing two similar teams, which is close to the truth.
Hydra's line-up
Hydra has a similar squad to One Move. The squad has not changed its roster since early December 2022. We expect them to play well in their debut season, but it will be pretty tough.
Hydra players
- dream`
- Worick
- Cloud
- Lefitan
- HappyDyurara
Hydra's players aren't known for their special achievements, but some of them are quite stubborn. By some we mean dream.
In general, Hydra have tried three times to break into the top division of Eastern Europe. After the third time they succeeded, and now the Hydra players will get the experience they need, and I see the task at most in the case of Hydra keeping a slot in the top division.
Hydra's performance
Hydra have made their way into the first division of Eastern Europe thanks to an excellent performance in League Two. The team did not lose a single series in the first round.
In 16 maps, only 2 were given up. They lost one card each to HF and PuckChamp.
In addition to DPC Hydra act as a regular guest of third-party championships. So even before the start of the first season the team played in tournaments like EPL Winter Holidays 2022-2023 where they occupied TOP-1, European Pro League Season 6 where they appeared in TOP-12, but in the Neon League Season 1 the team was disqualified due to suspicions of foul play. However, the latter was not confirmed.
Hydra Heroes
The most popular Hydra hero is Tusk (22 matches, 81% win percentage). Another popular hero is Beastmaster (17 matches, 64% of wins).
Also playing Clockwerk (14 games, 78% win rate), Disruptor with a similar figure (14 games, 78% win rate). Also piked Keeper of the Light, who was raised with Patch 7.32e (13 games, 100% wins).
History of head-to-head encounters
The teams have previously played on D2CL Season 17. Hydra won that tournament with a 2-0 score.
Match result
This is a confrontation between two teams, worthy of each other. The question here is whether they will show a decent game.
One Move look more advantageous, but let's not forget that the team is far from stable performance, and victory in the local event does not guarantee anything. I'm inclined to believe that in this matchup we'll see a full-fledged bo3 with incredible swings, just in line with the clubs like these two.
Match outcome: total +2.5.
One Move is the 40th team in the world ranking. At the TI qualifiers in their region, the team managed to take an offensive 4th place, only behind BetBoom, Outsiders and NaVi, respectively. After that, a decision was made to make global changes to the roster. Smiling Knight, mellojul and sayuw left the team. Munkushi, Ainkrad from Mind Games and Gilgir from HellRaisers were taken as replacements. With this line-up, the guys have already won 3rd place in the last season of D2CL, losing to IVY and HYDRA. Nothing happened at BB Xmas Show and the team left the tournament in 9th - 10th place. The DPC didn't go well either. Finished in 5th place.
Hydra is the 41st team in the world ranking. The main roster includes dream, Worick, Cloud, Lefitan and HappyDyurara. The first round of DPC in the 2nd division finished in 1st place. On this DPC they will fight already in the 1st diva.
Hydra very confidently walked along the 2nd diva. Muv was not impressed at all in 1m. I believe in the outsiders in this match.
I'm a bettor, I live only by this. I devote all my time to this. There are no more interests.
I have been running my business for quite a long time and have achieved some success in this. Believe me or not - everyone's business. But why not try? Maybe you like this life too!
