Match Prediction: BetBoom Team - Heroic | Dota 2

We continue to follow what's happening on the Dota 2 competitive scene. Already on the 26th of November, Long Sognegut will host the BLAST Slam 1 tournament with a prize pool of $1,000,000.

The championship will be played by 10 teams that received a direct invitation to participate in the tournament. Among the participants are BB Team and Heroic, who will play each other in Group A.

Let's try to find out who of the BB - Heroic pair will be stronger and earn important points ahead of the play-offs.

BB Form

Let's open the analysis of the BB - Heroic match with the analysis of BB's form. In this match they play as favourites with odds to win at around 1.6.

In the first season of the regional league BB Team took the top 1, very confidently running over their main opponents Spirit and HR. However, the success was quickly overshadowed by their performance at Lima Major 2023, where BB failed to make it out of the group.

A few inconclusive events later, BB Team began play in the second division of the DPC. This time the situation changed dramatically, from top 1 to top 3, but on the international stage everything was stable: another failure to get out of the group at the Major e.

The third season of DPC was held under the slogan "it's time to get back", but somehow it didn't work out, something didn't go well and in the end - TOP-2. Again, kind of significant, but if we compare Western and Eastern Europe, TOP-2 in the first case is much more prestigious than BB achievement.

BB Team's moment of glory was DreamLeague Season 20. Having got to the tournament quite by chance (they replaced Execration), the Eastern European residents managed to make it to the grand final of the tournament, where they beat Gladiators, but eventually lost with the score 2-3.

After a solid group stage at The Bali Major 2023 with a 4-2-2 from BB, Eastern European Resident made it to the top set of play-offs. There the team outplayed Tundra Esports, but due to a tournament rules violation that result was cancelled. As a result, Bali Major 2023 ended for BB Team in the top 12.

After the last Major tournament of the season BB Team attended a number of other events. Among them is the Riyadh Masters 2023. At the biggest commercial tournament of the season, BB Team made it to the top 6, which is pretty good.

In addition to the Riyadh Masters 2023 BB Team also made an appearance at the BB Dacha. The tournament from the main sponsor BB Club finished without having started: BB Team failed to get out of the group and as a result finished in the top 8.

In the group stage of DreamLeague Season 21 BB Team played in Group B. They managed to take the 2nd place, passing only Team Spirit.

BB visited The International 2023. Then the team managed to reach the top 6, but they were knocked out of the tournament by Azure Ray.

At ESL Kuala Lumpur 2023 BB played the group stage neutrally, playing all matches in a draw. This allowed them to advance to the play-offs, where BB looked much better than they did in the group: 2-0 against Tundra Esports and 2-0 against G2.IG. However, BB Team went on to face Team Liquid and ended up in the top 4. Next BB Team played at BB Dacha Dubai 2024, where they reached the Top 3.

At the end of the first day of games at DreamLeague Season 22 BB Team took the first place in their group. They won against GG and played a draw with Vp. Further the situation for BB was not worse: on the second day they closed Azure Ray with the score 2-0. Despite two draws on the third day, this did not prevent them from advancing to the second group stage of the tournament.

BB Team started the second stage of DreamLeague Season 22 with victories from OG, Xtreme Gaming and Shopify Rebellion. As a result, they reached the grand finals, where they were run over by Falcons with a score of 3-0. Things were much worse at the Elite League: top-12.

Dali played at ESL One Birmingham 2024, where they reached the grand finals, but were eliminated by Falcons. They also played at PGL Wallachia Season 1, where they managed to reach TOP-11, which is not a good result.

At DreamLeague Season 23 BB Team barely made it through their group, making it to the bottom of the play-offs. However, after the disappointing Long Sogpeg managed to rehabilitate themselves during the play-offs and BB took the top 3.

The main tournament of the season was TI 2024, where BB managed to make it to the top 8, but the Falcons interfered.

BB showed a good game at DreamLeague Season 24, where they managed to reach the TOP-2, but in the final they lost again against Falcons.

The most popular BB Team characters

The most used BB Team character is Storm Spirit (5 matches, 60% wins). The team also plays with Primal Beast and Pugna at position 4, and both heroes have 4 matches and 100% wins each. In spades was Enchantress (4 matches, 25% wins), Beastmaster (4 games, 0% wins).

Form BB

We continue our breakdown of the Heroic - BB match with an analysis of Heroic's game form. In this match they play as an outsider with odds to win around 2.1.

Heroic is a relatively new name to the Dota 2 competitive scene. While the team is well known outside of Valve's professional MOBA scene, the club has been slow to sign a roster in that discipline. In 2023, that changed.

Heroic came to Dota 2 signing South American mix D2 Hustlers, while changing it up a bit. Heroic's final, debut roster looked like this:

• Heroic roster: Yuma, 4nalog, Davai Lama, Scofield, KJ.

Each player is pretty well known at his position and it seems like such a team should work. At least on the local scene, within their region, Heroic look pretty good, though not perfect.

During the 2024 competitive season, the club finished Top 8 at DreamLeague Season 22: South America Open Qualifier #1, Top 2 at BB Dacha Dubai 2024: NA and SA Closed Qualifier, and then won DL Season 22: South America Open Qualifier #2 and DL Season 22: South America Closed Qualifier, defeating BOOM 2-0 in the grand finals.

The last tournament before DL Season 22 was the South American qualifiers for ESL Birmingham 2024. There Heroic again defeated BOOM in the grand finals, thus securing a slot for the first major LAN tournament of the year.

After the first match day Heroic are on the 4th line of the group stage table with 1-1 in matches and 2-2 in maps. They outplayed G2.IG and Ledge or Vp. The second day passed with a similar score: 1 win and 1 loss. On the third game day we played a draw with BB Team and lost to GG. However, they failed to move further into the top 14.

Then Heroic made it to DL Season 23 and played Elite League at TOP-16, and then it was TOP-8 at ESL One Birmingham 2024.

Heroic qualified for the DreamLeague Season 23 play-offs after a re-match with Team Liquid, where they defeated the European Dota 2 giants 2-1. However, they didn't make it far in the play-offs, as Heroic finished top-8 on DL S23.

Then Heroic played at Riyadh Masters 2024 and Elite League Season 2. At the first tournament, Heroic finished in the top 14 and at the second tournament, Heroic finished in the top 11. Heroic also played at The International 2024, where they did well, finishing in the top 12. However, oddly enough, Heroic's main achievement was winning PGL Wallachia Season 2, sensationally beating Falcons in the grand finals.

Heroic later played at DL Season 24, where they looked much worse than they did the tournament's Top 14 the tournament before.

Heroic's most popular heroes

Natures Prophet and Rubick appeared most often in spades. Both characters were taken 4 times each and have 100% wins.

Vengeful Spirit, Beastmaster and Tusk have appeared a similar number of times. They have won 3 matches each out of 4 appearances.

Previously, the teams have not crossed paths with each other on the professional scene.
