The organization has informed about this on its official website.
Despite this, there will be a lot of tournaments next year, where DPC points will be up for grabs.
The first of the canceled tournaments should take place in Singapore on January 12-14 and the second one should be hosted in Kuala Lumpur on March 2-4.
GESC announced that factors that had not depend on them became the reason to cancel the tournaments. At the moment, it is unknown if Valve allows to carry out the postponed championships at other times. 10 events are scheduled in Dota 2 from March to June. The difference between championship in days is mainly less than a week.
After the postponing of two tournaments, GESC has two more Minor championships to host: GESC E-Series: Bangkok 2018 and GESC E-Series: Jakarta 2018. The first event will be run on March 16-18 and the second one will be carried out on May 13-15. A prize pool for each of them will amount $300,000 and 300 DPC points as it is in the rest of Minor tournaments.
GESC is the only company that has no experience of organizing championships on the list of official Major and Minor tournaments that has been published by Valve for the season 2017/2018.
