The results of the fourth gaming day of the group stage of The Lima Major 2023: the departure of the Chinese outsiders
Maksym ShylovThe fourth game day of The Lima Major 2023, the first Major Dota 2 tournament in the DPC 2023 season, has come to an end. The day marked the appearance of the first teams that guaranteed a place in the playoffs, as well as participants who will continue to attend the tournament in Lima as spectators.
Group A
Place | Team name | Match score | Map score |
1 | Gaimin Gladiators | 3-3-1 | 9-5 |
2 | Team Spirit | 3-3-1 | 9-5 |
3 | Evil Geniuses | 2-4-1 | 8-6 |
4 | PSG.LGD | 2-4-1 | 8-6 |
5 | Talon Esports | 2-4-1 | 8-6 |
6 | Tundra Esports | 3-1-4 | 7-9 |
7 | Execration | 0-6-1 | 6-8 |
8 | TSM | 2-2-3 | 6-8 |
9 | EHOME | 0-3-4 | 3-11 |
PSG.LGD improved their position with a win over EHOME and a draw with Execration. Their compatriots from EHOME, in turn, will no longer be able to play in the playoffs and will leave the tournament at the end of the group stage. Execration and TSM still have a chance to survive.
Group B
Place | Team name | Match score | Map score |
1 | Team Liquid | 5-2-0 | 12-2 |
2 | Entity | 4-3-1 | 11-5 |
3 | beastcoast | 2-4-1 | 8-6 |
4 | Shopify Rebellion | 2-4-1 | 8-6 |
5 | Team Aster | 2-4-1 | 8-6 |
6 | Geek Slate | 2-2-3 | 6-8 |
7 | BetBoom Team | 1-3-3 | 5-9 |
8 | HellRaisers | 2-1-4 | 5-9 |
9 | Knights | 0-1-6 | 1-13 |
In group B, the picture looks somewhat clearer. Team Liquid and Entity have already made it to the upper bracket of the playoffs. And the Chinese from the Knights are candidates for the title of the worst team of the tournament. Statistics 0-1-6 no longer allow the team to go to the lower bracket. The final match against HellRaisers won't affect anything for them.
