OG knocks out Thunder Awaken from ESL One Malaysia 2022 in a tough fight

The OG team defeated Thunder Awaken with a score of 2:1, thus eliminating the Peruvian team from ESL One Malaysia 2022. In a tense match, Chuvash's wards turned out to be stronger than Thunder Awaken, thanks to which they made it to the semi-finals of the lower bracket. In turn, the representatives of Peru left the championship, finishing 5th-6th and earning $15,000.

The first game started off at a steady pace as the teams tested the waters. This went on for a long period, until the OG players made their first attempts to swing the opponent. At some point, the Peruvian team faltered, thus allowing the Europeans to break the resistance and get a victory in 43 minutes and 45 seconds.

In the second game, Thunder Awaken players have already taken control of the situation. Despite all the attempts of OG to hold back the onslaught of the opponent, the Peruvian team managed to win in 44 minutes and 30 seconds, thus leveling the score in the series.

Everything was decided in the third game, where OG managed to quickly seize the initiative under their control. For a long time, the European team had a huge advantage, while Thunder Awaken players were trying to turn the tide of the match and turn the game around by getting into fights. However, OG managed to withstand the opponent's sharp attacks in order to make a massive attack at the decisive moment and get the final victory in 51 minutes and 58 seconds.

ESL One Malaysia 2022 takes place from August 23 to 28 in Malaysia at the Arena of Stars. As part of the championship, twelve teams from Europe, North and South America, China and Southeast Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $400,000.
