GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Thailand 2022 will start this morning — the first major tournament after the Dota 2 Major. Eight teams from Southeast Asia will compete for a $150,000 prize pool. In this regard, we propose to get acquainted with the participants, the format of the championship and the distribution of the prize fund.

Eight teams will take part in the championship, which were divided into two equal groups.

Format

GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Thailand 2022 will be held in two stages:

• Group stage: August 18-19
  
• Playoffs: August 20

The teams will start their journey from the group stage, where they will play a round-robin bracket with BO1 matches. The top two teams from each quartet will advance to the playoffs where they will form a single elimination bracket. The semi-finals will be played in BO3 format, while the grand final will be played in BO5 format.

• 1st place: $75,000
  
• 2nd place: $30,000
• 3rd-4th place: $13,000
• 5th-6th place: $6,000
• 7th-8th place: $3,500

GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Thailand 2022 will be held from August 18 to 20 in Hat Yai at the Central Hatyai site. As part of the championship, eight teams from Southeast Asia will compete for a prize pool of $150,000.
