BOOM Esports and Talon Esports qualified for ESL One Malaysia 2022
/The closed qualifiers for ESL One Malaysia 2022 in Southeast Asia have ended, with BOOM Esports and Talon Esports as the winners. Since one of the participants of the event refused his invitation the day before, the tournament operator ESL decided to give this slot to the second team from the closed qualifiers in Southeast Asia.
The winner of the closed qualifier was the BOOM Esports team, which turned out to be stronger than Summit Gaming (2:0), Team SMG (2:0) and Talon Esports (2:1) on its way.
Recall that the day before, the BOOM Esports team announced that it would take part in the upcoming PGL Arlington Major 2022 in full force.
In turn, the Talon Esports team received the second ticket to the competition. Forev's wards started their way in the qualification with victories over RSG (2:1) and TNC Predator (2:1), but lost to BOOM Esports (1:2) in the upper bracket final. Having fallen to the bottom of the qualifiers, the team managed to beat Polaris Esports (2:1) to get to ESL One Malaysia 2022.

ESL One Malaysia 2022 will take place from August 23 to 28 at Genting Highlands at the Arena of Stars. Twelve teams from Europe, Southeast Asia, China, North and South America will take part in the championship and compete for a total prize pool of $400,000.
The current lineup for ESL One Malaysia 2022 is as follows: OG, Fnatic, Alliance, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Nigma Galaxy, BOOM Esports and Talon Esports.
