Quincy Crew solidify as favorites of the season
Maksym ShylovYesterday, the confrontation between Quincy Crew and TSM took place as part of DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I. Both teams are considered favorites for the final part of the season in North America along with Evil Geniuses.
TSM, formerly known as Team SoloMid, are famous for taking 1st place at DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final, 2nd place at DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I, as well as become the finalists of ESL One Stockholm 2022, losing to OG in the decisive match with a score of 3:1. The team was able to earn a total of $186,174 in prize money.
Quincy Crew, in turn, can boast of an updated line-up. In May, the roster was replenished with LESLÃO, MSS and Fata, who became the captain of the team. This year, the club took 1st place at DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division I, 3rd place at DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Final. And as part of the DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I, YawaR and the team were just a little short of going to the Stockholm Major. Then Quincy Crew lost in replays to TSM and Evil Geniuses, allowing these teams to defend the honor of the region at the international level.
The first bo3 map of the series took 45 minutes. It is worth noting that within the framework of this game, the QC carry, playing on Wraith King, finished with 10-0-11 statistics. At the 42nd minute, Nature's Prophet, driven by Timado, acquired a Divine Rapier, but this did not help to change the situation. The final result on the map was 20:31. On the second map, TSM decided to take Pudge, not the most reliable and stable hero on the pro scene, and as a result, Quincy Crew managed to win in 32 minutes with a score of 23:12. Thus Fata and his colleagues added the 2nd win with a score of 2:0 to their list of achievements.
After this confrontation, the Quincy Crew are 2-0 on matches and 4-0 on maps, which makes them one of the main contenders for one of the two coveted slots at the PGL Arlington Major. Since in this way only Evil Geniuses remain among the really strong opponents.
Recall that DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I runs from June 7th to July 13th of this year. The top 8 teams compete for a $205,000 prize pool, 1,150 DPC points and 2 spots to the PGL Arlington Major.
