DPC 2021/2022 Tour 3: events digest for 15.06
Maksym ShylovAnother gaming day has ended as part of the DPC 2021/2022 season. Wednesday was marked by matches in 3 regions, namely Southeast Asia, North America and Western Europe. In this article, we will consider all the results of the previous day.
DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 3
The day started with a confrontation between DogChamp and HappySeals. The Seals started their performance in the second division with a defeat, just like their opponents. HappySeals lost in their debut match to ALPHA, who got into the ranking season thanks to the victory in the closed qualifier. Later, in the first division, one of the top teams in the region, Quincy Crew, in an updated line-up played against TSM, whose roster has been successfully performing since the beginning of the year. In just 6 months of 2022, MoonMeander and the team were able to earn $186,174, $100,000 of which brought them silver at the last Major of the season, ESL One Stockholm 2022. Then the team lost to OG with a score of 3:1.
- DogChamp vs HappySeals - 2:0
- Quincy Crew vs TSM - 2:0
The first map of DogChamp was brought into deep late, the map lasted 1 hour and 8 minutes, which was enough to defeat HappySeals. The second confrontation turned out to be many times shorter, in 28 minutes DogChamp guaranteed themselves a clear victory and equalized their score in the season. In turn, YawaR and the team were able to defeat their colleagues in the upper division with a score of 2:0. It is worth noting that on the 1st map, the QC carry, playing on Wraith King, finished with 10-0-11 statistics.
DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour 3
It's been a busy day in Southeast Asia. We saw 2 fights within the elite division and 1 match at a lower level. Neon Esports, who were forced to get into Division II, met with the newcomers of the season from Atlantis. The second roster of Nigma Galaxy was up against Talon Esports. And Team SMG, which recently replenished with the Swedish player pieliedie, played against Polaris Esports.
- Neon Esports vs Atlantis - 1:2
- Nigma Galaxy SEA vs Talon Esports - 1:2
- Team SMG vs Polaris Esports - 2:0
On the 1st map, Neon Esports were able to deal with Atlantis in 27 minutes, and Dota 2 scene veteran ChuaN demonstrated a fairly clean performance on Shadow Shaman. The personal score of the Malaysian was 1-1-14. The 2nd map ended more successfully for Atlantis. And in the decisive confrontation, the team from the closed qualification was able to destroy the opponent in 24 minutes with a score of 26-6. So far, the start of the final part of the season is not going well for Neon Esports. Nigma Galaxy SEA lost to Talon Esports in a protracted confrontation. The victory on the 2nd map in 81 minutes was won thanks to the choice of more late heroes. Team SMG, having built their game around Enigma, gained the upper hand on 2 extremely competitive maps. The results on the 1st and 2nd maps speak for themselves: 35-38 and 45-42 respectively.
DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3
This region also scored 3 matches. Entity was met with goonsquad. Fishman and the team have already beaten the Gaimin Gladiators this season, who had previously taken 4th place at ESL One Stockholm 2022, so goonsquad was supposed to be at least no tougher opponent. In the second division, IVY, having lost to the main roster of Nigma Galaxy in the debut match, faced 11Monkeyz, whose roster guaranteed itself a place in the season as a result of a successful performance in the qualifiers. Into the Breach, betting on Chicken Fighters players for the season, had to play against EU Rejects, who came into the match with a 0-2 statistic.
- Entity vs goonsquad - 2:0
- IVY vs 11Monkeyz - 2:1
- Into The Breach vs EU Rejects - 2:1
Entity were able to solidify their successful start in the first division by defeating s4 and the team. IVY bounced back from a 2-1 loss to previous experienced opponents on the qualifying team. Into The Breach in a rather tense confrontation secured the status of Division II leader, and EU Rejects became one of the potential candidates for relegation from the lower league. The score in the series is 2:1 in favor of Into The Breach. On this, our brief review of the gaming day comes to an end.
As a reminder, DPC 2021/2022 Tour 3 runs from June 6 to July 15, 2022.
