PSG.LGD risks missing ESL One Stockholm Major 2022
The Chinese team PSG.LGD is at risk of missing the upcoming ESL One Stockholm Major 2022. The management of the eSports club announced this on social networks, adding that the players are in quarantine and at the moment they do not have the opportunity to apply for a visa.
All players are in quarantine and there is currently no way for them to apply for a visa. We have reported this situation to the event organizers for a follow-up decision. Our participation in the Major in a particular situation depends on their response.
Recall that PSG.LGD qualified for ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 thanks to a successful performance in the DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I, which resulted in the team taking first place.
It is reported that representatives of the organization have already contacted the organizers of the tournament and explained the situation. Now PSG.LGD will look for possible solutions to their problem together with ESL.
Probably, the same fate may affect other Chinese teams that qualified for ESL One Stockholm Major 2022, namely Team Aster, Royal Never Give Up and Xtreme Gaming. No organizations have issued statements regarding the opportunity to speak at the upcoming event at this time.
ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 will take place from May 12 to 22 in Sweden at the Hovet Arena Stockholm. The championship will be attended by four teams from Western Europe and China, three teams from Eastern Europe, two teams from North and South America, and three teams from Southeast Asia.
