BOOM Esports became the winner of DPC SEA 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals

DPC SEA 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals has come to an end. At the championship, which was held from 11 to 13 February online. The four best teams at the end of the first DPC season 2021/22 fought for a prize pool of $100,000, as well as precious rating points. The winner of the event was the BOOM Esports team, which turned out to be stronger than T1 in the grand final with a score of 3:1.

The Philippine team got off to a good start in the championship, beating Team SMG (2:0) in the semifinals. However, a few hours later, the team failed to cope with T1 (1:2), thereby falling into the lower bracket. Here, BOOM Esports again outplayed Team SMG (2:1) to return to the grand final and get a chance for revenge.

In the main match of the championship, the Philippine team immediately seized the initiative, thus demonstrating their desire to get even with T1 for the recent defeat. At the same time, T1 was only enough for one map, while BOOM Esports confidently ended the series, having obtained a major victory in the distribution of places in the DPC table.

Note that thanks to this victory, BOOM Esports broke into the intermediate first place in the table of the 2021/22 DPC season, having 450 points at its disposal. However, everything can change in the next few hours, when the final championship from Western Europe ends.

  • 1st place: BOOM Esports — $50,000 + 250 DPC points.
  • 2nd place: T1 — $25,000 + 130 DPC points.
  • 3rd place: Team SMG — $15,000.
  • 4th place: Fnatic — $10,000
