Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 1 is a remake of the DPC system by Valve. Teams will play in the regional leagues for a chance to advance to the Dota 2 Major tournament, and, consequently, to proceed to The International in 2021.
The professional stage is divided into regional leagues (Upper and Lower divisions). At DPC 2021: Season 1, slots to the Major will be handed out in the following way:
- 1st place of the Upper division will get to the playoff of the Major tournament at the end of the first season
- 2nd place of the Upper division will make it to the group stage of the Major tournament at the end of the first season
- 3rd-4th place will proceed to the Wild Card stage where they will play for a slot at the Major tournament
- 5th-6th place remains in the Upper division
- 7th-8th place drops to the Lower division
Each league will set the prize pool consisting of $280,000 and 1150 DPC points. The final of DPC 2021: Season 1 will be ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021.
