Form Monte
Let's open the match analysis with the analysis of Monte's form. In this match, the Ukrainian club plays the first number one.
Before the Long Cologne IEM Cologne 2023 they had a series of unsuccessful tournaments. They took TOP-16 at the next CCT, this time North Europe Series #5, and TOP-8 at the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023.
- Monte lineup: sdy, br0, Woro2k, DemQQ, kRaSnaL .
After a great run at BLAST.tv Major 2023, Monte left the headliner of that roster - BOROS - and was replaced by Astralis Talent member - Danish br0.
Monte rolled out the roster at Play-In IEM Cologne 2023, where they defeated Brazilian teams twice: first Imperial 16-9 and then FURIA 2-1 in the series. Monte beat GamerLegion in the group stage, but were unable to face more serious opponents like Heroic. IEM Cologne 2023 ended with a match against Cloud9. Monte tried, but Ledgeilie more titled club with a score of 0-2.
Before ESL Pro League Season 18 played a number of local championships. Among them were CCT Series tournaments, where Monte finished in the top 4, and top 2 at CCT North Europe Series #7, and there was also Pinnacle Cup V, where the Ukrainian club again finished in the top 4.
In the debut match at ESL Pro League Season 18 they met with the Germans from BIG. As expected, the match was equal, especially on the first two maps, but the decisive one was very lopsided: 16-5 in favour of BIG and Monte fell to the lower grid.
In the first round of the lower grid Monte played with the nominally weakest participants of Basket B - Australians from Rooster. It looked like they were going to close with a 2-0 score, but it turned out that there was no need to be happy before the time, and Monte Ledge were on the first card, but then cameback, thus turning the series in their favour.
In the previous match Monte played against MIBR. As in all other matches on ESL Pro League, the game was tense and hard, but in the end the Brazilians triumphed.
Next, Monte managed to get through the last chance net. First they outplayed Heroic with a score of 1-2, and then took revenge on MIBR.
After a real success in the group, Monte made it to the first round of play-offs. There they showed a very serious level of play, defeating Fnatic, Complexity and then Vitality. They were beaten by NaVi, winning the semi-finals 2-0.
Before playing at Roobet Cup 2023, Monte played at IEM Sydney 2023, where they showed a pretty good, but not perfect, game. Monte finished the Sydney tournament at the top-8 stage.
Monte played their debut match at Roobet Cup 2023 against OG. They won 2-0, running over their opponents on class.
Monte qualified for the Roobet Cup 2023 play-offs after a solid win over NiP. The match, by the way, was very intense, although it ended 2-0, the two maps were a struggle: 13-11 Overpass, 16-14 Mirage.
In the quarter-finals Monte faced Movistar Riders. The Ukrainian club defeated their Spanish counterparts 2-0. Then there was another victory over Aurora, but in a more difficult match (2-1 in favour of Monte). But the Roobet Cup 2023 grand final was not enough. Monte met Vp, gave a fight, but lost with a score of 1-2.
In parallel with the game at Roobet Cup 2023 Monte played at Thunderpick World Championship 2023, where at the time of writing this betting thread they were waiting for their semi-final opponent.
In the first High Group match at ESL Challenger Season 46, the team played against a tough French ѕtask Looking4Org. So tough that those won with a score of 2-1.
In the last match of the group stage Monte faced SINNERS Esports. Being the clear favourite to win, the Ukrainian club somehow lost toothlessly to the Czechs, thus sending themselves to the first round of the lower net.
Map Monte
Monte's best map is Ancient. There Monte has 7 wins in 9 matches. However, Mirage can also be called a signature choice for the Ukrainian club: it has been played 13 times and won 10 of them.
Things are not bad on Anubis, where Monte has 8 wins and 4 losses.
The worst is Vertigo. There Monte have a statistic of 2-4.
Form EYEBALLERS
We continue the match analysis with the analysis of EYEBALLERS form. In this match they will play as an outsider.
The 53rd team of the HLTV world ranking is a typical representative of the TIR-2 scene. In 2023 they have played in a lot of tournaments, but unfortunately for the Swedes, with no results.
Overall, the classic result for the Swedes this season was Top 8. The team held this ranking at Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters Spring 2023, ESL Challenger League Season 44: Europe, CCT Central Europe Series #6, CCT West Europe Series #3, ESL Challenger League Season 45: EUrope, CCT West and CCT North Europe Serie #4 and #5.
A small A Cross happened at the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023. Then jW and company managed to climb into the top 4, which is clearly not a typical result for EYEBALLERS this year. Next, it's gloomy again, but much worse: Top-17/19/32 at the IEM Sydney 2023 qualifiers, Top-24 at the SSE North Europe Series and Top-12 at CCT North Europe Series #7.
- Eyeballers lineup: JW, Sapce, SHiNE, Peppzor, Heap .
Prior to the ESL Challenger League Season 46, JW and company played Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #2 and European Pro League Season 10, as well as Esportal Evnia Open. In the former, they finished in the usual top 25, but the European Pro League was much more successful - already top 10! The only ray of light was the championship at the Esportal Evnia Open and $6,000 in prize money.
ESL Challenger League Season 46 is not going badly so far. Getting into the Mid Group is something, considering the bunch of results EYEBALLERS has on their hands.
They finished top 3 in Group C, where they missed out on Team Spirit and Looking4Org. They played 3-2, beating SAW, RUBIK and Pompa Team, whoever they were.
Once in the Mid Group EYEBALLERS began their climb to the final of the top set. Along the way they beat Aurora and Betera. Both games ended in a complete bo3.
In the final Mid Group match, EYEBALLERS were once again successful. They outplayed ForZe, and again with a score of 2-1.
Eyeballers Mappool
The best Eyeballers map is Vertigo. They have 2 wins in 3 matches.
Next is Inferno. On Inferno we played 5 times, of which we won 3 matches.
Minus winrate on 4 maps: Ancient (42% wins in 7 matches), Overpass (33% wins in 3 matches), Anubis (3 matches, 33% wins), Mirage (2 matches, 0 wins).
History of head-to-head meetings Monte - EYEBALLERS
The last time the teams played each other was at the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023. Then EYEBALLERS won cleanly.
Predicted result of the match Monte - EYEBALLERS at ESL Challenger Season 46
In this match I will once again believe in the success of Monte. The Ukrainian team has already exhausted their credit, but I believe in their redemption and victory over a weaker opponent. However, Sdy himself said that Monte lacked training, and the pause before the Challenger League play-offs should be enough for a victory over EYEBALLERS.
Bottom line: Monte wins.
