PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR A is the first qualifying tournament where teams will compete for the right to play in the main event in CS:GO - PGL Major Antwerp 2022 (major). This year the CIS region will be merged with the European one, and there will be no separate qualifications for them. At the tournament, 16 teams will compete for 8 tickets to the main championship.
Thank heavens, this time we got the Swiss system, which, in my opinion, is the most fair and suitable for such tournaments. In such a bracket, each team has three chances to prove that they deserve to play at a Major-level tournament. Also, this system completely excludes the accidental entry of any of the teams into the main tournament (PGL Major Antwerp 2022), as was the case last year, when some teams were lucky to defeat the favorite in BO1, reach the major, and fly off without a chance in the first matches.
The entire event will be held according to the Swiss system (teams play for points, each team plays until it wins three or loses three) in the BO1 format, knockout or passing matches - BO3. Teams that take from first to fourth places in the Swiss system get into the “legends” stage, so the match for fourth place is very important and, accordingly, will also be held in the BO3 format. There will be no playoff bracket.
FaZe: first in the world ranking
The international composition of the FaZe team is now stronger than ever. They won the second major tournament in a row (IEM Katowice 2022 and ESL Pro League Season 15), defeating all the strongest teams in the world. The arrival of Estonian Robin "ropz" Kool marked a new era for the line-up. It was he who brought victory to the team at the EPL, for which he received the MVP medal. Now they have reached the first line of the rating, displacing the "Born to Win" from the podium, which, in turn, held the championship for 37 weeks.
For players with such vast experience and ambitions, they don’t want to lose a match at all, so they should win their first match without problems, like the whole Swiss team.
In past tournaments, they often had problems in the group stages, and often managed to jump into the "last car" in the playoffs. But I don't think they want to be in the role of catching up, and therefore they should win their first match without any problems.
The last lineup change was the arrival of Robin "ropz" Kool.
The best rating according to hltv - 1st place in the world. Now - 1st place.
The best map is nuke, with an 80% win rate for 5 maps played.

Eternal Fire: what's wrong?
The Turkish team itself is very strange. It seems that there are star players who managed to make their name in the history of CS:GO, but they cannot show consistently good results. Either the players make mistakes out of the blue and give up their rounds, then in an insane individual game they overturn their opponents, kick from the player’s roster, and three days later they take them back to the base (it was just a kick, not a stand-in). It seems that Eternal Fire has everything to win and dominate the tier2 scene, which they can't get out of in order to gain a foothold in tier1. Huge experience of individual players, incredible individual form, one language - all this should be the key to victory, but something is always missing. What? I hope that they will find the answer to this question and will be able to rise in the rankings.
The fact that they got to this stage through all qualifications seems to be a good indicator, but it is impossible to predict with what mood they will approach each match. On the other hand, their rival is now so strong that little will depend on the Turks themselves. They will only win if FaZe gives them the game themselves.
The latest lineup change was the arrival of Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç.
