How the bookies view it: NiP favorite
Before we provide a more detailed CS2 betting preview for the paiN vs. NiP match at BLAST Bounty Fall 2025: Closed Qualifier, let’s discuss the favorite. Bookmakers slightly favor Ninjas in Pyjamas, although paiN Gaming have shown somewhat better results this season.
paiN Gaming form. What result can be expected from paiN Gaming
Our betting tips and CS2 picks for the paiN Gaming vs. NiP matchup begin with analyzing paiN Gaming form.
paiN Gaming played a large number of tournaments in 2024, showing promising results along the way.
Their most notable achievement was at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, where they showcased both skill and resilience, finishing in the top 9-11.
paiN consistently ranks among the top teams in Latin America, often winning B-tier events such as RES Latin American Series #4 and Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024, earning $100,000 for the latter.

A key milestone was qualifying for IEM Cologne 2024 through regional qualifiers. At the event, they lost their opening match to Liquid (0-2), but bounced back in the lower bracket to defeat fellow Brazilians Imperial (2-1), finishing top 8.
Later, they competed at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024, securing a now “classic” top-8 finish.
paiN also participated in PW Shanghai Major 2024. In the Opening Stage, they beat Imperial, then lost to GamerLegion but recovered with wins over C9 and FlyQuest. In the Elimination Stage, they fell to MOUZ, Ledgeili, and 3DMax. In a must-win match, they defeated BIG.
On the main stage of the Shanghai Major, paiN went 1-3, ending top 14.
The 2025 season began with BLAST Bounty Season 1, where paiN once again made it through qualifiers by defeating GamerLegion and FaZe. In the playoffs, they faced NaVi and came close to victory, but lost 1-2, finishing top 6—a sign that this team is aiming higher.
At IEM Katowice 2025, they placed top 20, but did much better at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025: they went 3-1 in the group stage with wins over Astralis, Falcons, and VP, losing only to MongolZ in a tight match. Unfortunately, in the playoffs they fell in the first round to MOUZ and finished top 8.
At ESL Pro League Season 21, they advanced from the group stage with a 3-2 record. In the top 16, they beat GamerLegion but lost to G2 and NaVi, and were later eliminated by Eternal Fire, placing top 14.
After that, paiN played at PGL Bucharest 2025 and IEM Melbourne 2025, finishing top 16 in both events.
At the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, paiN started their run in the second stage, qualifying for the third stage with a 3-1 record. They lost their first two matches to strong opponents — Spirit and G2 — but bounced back with victories over Nemiga, 3DMAX, and VP, advancing to the playoffs with a 3-2 score.
In the playoffs, paiN defeated FURIA 2-1, but in the semifinals, they lost to The MongolZ 0-2, finishing 3rd-4th at the tournament.
NiP form. What result can be expected from NiP
We continue the analysis of the paiN vs NiP match with analyzing NiP form. In this match, they play as the favorite, but with a slight lead.
In the first half of the 2023 season, NiP were remembered only for qualifying for the Paris Major 2023 after finishing 7th at European RMR B, as well as finishing in the top 8–11 at the Major itself. The team’s form slightly improved over the course of the season.
Although NiP lost in the Last Chance Qualifiers at Gamers8, they later performed well at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023. They confidently advanced to the Fall Final, defeating such giants as Vitality.
NiP approached IEM Cologne 2023 in full combat readiness. There were no roster changes before the tournament, which clearly played in favor of the Swedish club.
In the first round of the Play-In at IEM Cologne 2023, Ninjas in Pyjamas faced Into The Breach. The match ended in an easy NiP win on Ancient with a score of 16-5.
In the match for a spot in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2023, NiP played against MOUZ. The "mice" outplayed the Swedes in class, allowing them to take only 19 rounds in two maps. The tournament ended for NiP in the top 16.
In the 2024 season, NiP drastically changed their roster, essentially carrying out a full rebuild of the team.

At PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR A, NiP performed poorly — top 16. Things slightly improved in the second half of the year: top 2 at YaLLa Compass 2024, top 4 at FiReLEAGUE Global Final 2023. Among TIR-S tournaments, the best performance was at BLAST Premier: Fall Groups, where NiP managed to beat C9 and FaZe, but stopped at the top 8 after losing to Astralis.
Later, NiP played at BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2024 but failed to repeat the success of the previous BLAST tournament, finishing only top 16. They later placed top 28 at ESL Pro League Season 20 and top 16 at CCT Season 2 European Series #13. They also participated in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, where they finished top 12 — a result that can hardly be called successful.
In the 2025 season, NiP participated in a large number of various qualifying tournaments. Only one of them ended in victory — PGL Astana 2025: European Qualifiers. However, at PGL Astana 2025 itself, NiP managed to reach the playoffs by winning their group with a 3-2 score — this was the Swedish club’s best result in the past 5 months of the 2025 season.
Ninjas in Pyjamas performed quite well at C and B-tier tournaments. The team won Fragadelphia x LVL UP EXPO 2025, placed 3rd–4th at The Proving Grounds Season 1, and finished 2nd at CCT Season 3 European Series #3.
Recent head to head
The teams have played each other twice, with NiP winning both matches. The match at BLAST Bounty Fall 2025: Closed Qualifier is not a principal rivalry, but each team will give it their all to earn a slot at the main tournament.
