MAD Lions and Fiend became the winners of the first open qualifier for IEM Fall 2021 Europe. Teams will now have the opportunity to compete for the first RMR points in the closed qualifier in September.

The TMB-driven team kicked off the main qualifying process by beating Made in Denmark (16: 4). Well, in the battle for a place in the closed qualifier, the team outplayed AVEZ (2: 0).

Fiend's grid turned out to be no less easy in terms of the opponents' status. At first, the Bulgarian team dealt with dogs (16: 9), myllysuola (16: 4) and Galaxy Racer (22:20), before reaching the quarterfinals and knocking Dolej Miodu out of their way (16: 3). However, in the semifinals, Fiend had to make every effort to beat LDLC (2: 1) and take the second slot in the closed qualification stage.
