New details of Intel Extreme Masters XV - New York 2020 revealed

Europe

The matches of the European division will take place from 6 to 11 October. The total prize fund of the tournament will be $ 140,000, and 8 teams will be involved in its distribution. In the group stage, they were divided into 2 groups of 4 participants each. Group A includes Team Vitality, G2 Esports, Fnatic and Complexity Gaming. Group B includes FaZe Clan, BIG, Heroic and OG. Each group will advance to the playoffs with the two best participants who will play in the semifinals and final. The winner will claim the top prize of $ 70,000 and 400 Regional Ranking Points. All matches will be played with the exception of the grand final and will be played in the Bo3 format. The final fight will take place in a series of up to three wins.

North America

In America, the matches will take place from 6 to 18 October. 12 participants will compete for a total prize pool of $ 60,000 between each other. Unlike Europe, the teams will initially fight not for money, but for rating points. Whereas in Europe only 400 points are awarded for 1st place, in North America the winner of the event will earn 2,500 RMR. In the group stage, the teams will be the same as in Europe, they will be divided into two groups, but the format will be different. The teams will play in a circular system. Group A includes FURIA Esports, Evil Geniuses, ImPerium Esports, Triumph, Rebirth Esports, New England Whalers, and Group B includes Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, Team One, Chaos Esports Club, RBG Esports and Mythic. The single-elimination bracket will also be involved in the playoffs, but it will be full of more impressive matches than Europe, with its three confrontations in the final stage. North America will play 3rd and 5th place extra matches.

CIS

The prize fund in the CIS is even more scarce than in North America, but in comparison with Europe, the teams will be able to share a more impressive amount of rating points. For the first place, 2,500 RMR Points are still awarded. 12 participants here will share a prize pool of $ 50,000. Group A includes NAVI, forZe, Virtus.pro, K23, Cyber Legacy and ESPADA, and Group B includes Winstrike, Nemiga Gaming, Etherial, Team Spirit, Gambit Youngsters and HellRaisers. As for the format and the number of matches in the playoffs, the picture is exactly the same as in North America.
