At the start of PGL Bucharest 2026, B8 kicked off their campaign with a confident victory over Wildcard in the first round. The Ukrainian squad showcased control and consistency across both maps, leaving their opponents with little chance to mount a comeback.

Map veto:

Nuke (13:7 B8)

The match began on Wildcard’s pick, where despite winning the pistol round in the first half, they quickly lost control of the game. B8 dominated on the CT side and closed the half with a commanding 11:1 lead. Wildcard showed some signs of life in the second half with a six-round streak, but it wasn’t enough to turn things around. B8 comfortably secured Nuke 13:7.

Mirage (13:10 B8)

On Mirage, Wildcard displayed a more aggressive approach. In the first half, they managed to disrupt their opponent’s pace and secured a narrow 7:5 lead. After the side switch, the teams traded rounds evenly, but after the 20th round, B8 regained control and closed out the map 13:10.

B8 move forward with a 1-0 record, while Wildcard drop to the 0-1 bracket. PGL Bucharest 2026 takes place from April 4 to April 11, featuring 16 teams competing for a $625,000 prize pool.
