Eternal Fire and MOUZ have been eliminated from the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024! Results of the second day of playoffs

The second gaming day of the playoffs stage of the CS2 Major has come to an end. The Turkish team couldn't continue their sensation and exited the championship after losing to Natus Vincere, while in the match between MOUZ and G2 Esports, the favorite MOUZ showed a mediocre performance and exited the championship, ruining the pick-em for many competitive Counter-Strike fans.

Results of the Eternal Fire vs Natus Vincere match at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024:

  1. Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  2. Eternal Fire removed Ancient
  3. Natus Vincere picked Mirage
  4. Eternal Fire picked Inferno
  5. Eternal Fire removed Anubis
  6. Natus Vincere removed Overpass
  7. Nuke was left over

The team Natus Vincere continues to walk on a knife's edge and demonstrate unstable gameplay, continuing their streak of victories with very close scores. On the first map, Mirage, the yellow-black team showed an amazing attack, winning the half with a score of 9-3. However, after the side switch, they displayed a rather unimpressive defense, to the extent that the Turkish team from Eternal Fire had two map points. Yet, Natus Vincere rallied at the very last moment and pushed the map into overtime. In the overtime, NAVI managed to outplay their opponents without much trouble and secured their first map win in the playoff stage of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 with a score of 16:13.

On the map Inferno, the first half ended with an equal score of 6:6, with the yellow-black team playing on the defense. After the side switch, XANTARES and his team showed a mediocre defense, failing to find the key to Natus Vincere's attack and consequently lost the map with a score of 13:9.

Results of the MOUZ vs G2 Esports match at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024:

  1. G2 removed Mirage
  2. MOUZ removed Anubis
  3. G2 picked Inferno
  4. MOUZ picked Vertigo
  5. MOUZ removed Nuke
  6. G2 removed Ancient
  7. Overpass was left over

For many fans, the obvious favorite in this matchup was the team MOUZ. This was justified by the mediocre performance of G2 Esports and the rise from MOUZ's side, as they demonstrated very confident Counter-Strike during the group stage. Interestingly, the encounter ended with a score of 0:2 in favor of G2 Esports, and MOUZ failed to show a convincing game on either of the maps. So, on the first map, Mirage, they were only able to secure 4 rounds on the strong side, the defensive side. However, unlike the previous match between EF and NAVI, there was no such drama here; G2 Esports' defense managed to handle the attack, and the team won the map 13:9.

On Vertigo, which was MOUZ's map choice, siuhy and the team managed to secure a satisfactory 5 rounds on the attacking side, but they made too many mistakes on defense, leading to G2 Esports dominating them on the second map of the matchup with a score of 13:6.
