After an intense final match at the Americas RMR, Complexity triumphed over Liquid, securing the last spot for the PGL Major Copenhagen. This victory coincided with the latest Valve Regional Standings update, a crucial factor in arranging the participating teams into the first two stages of the Major.

The updated standings have interestingly arranged the teams for the upcoming Major, assigning them to either the Elimination or Opening Stages, previously known as the Legends and Challengers Stages. The Elimination Stage will see Europe's elite seven teams joined by Complexity, which has entered as the event's fifth-highest seed from America.

Cloud9 takes the lead in the Opening Stage as the top seed, with teams like Eternal Fire and ENCE following closely behind.

The teams heading straight to the Elimination Stage include:

  • FaZe
  • Spirit
  • Vitality
  • MOUZ
  • Complexity
  • Virtus.pro
  • Natus Vincere
  • G2

Meanwhile, the sixteen teams kicking off from the Opening Stage are:

  • Cloud9
  • Eternal Fire
  • ENCE
  • Apeks
  • HEROIC
  • 9 Pandas
  • SAW
  • FURIA
  • ECSTATIC
  • TheMongolz
  • Imperial
  • paiN
  • Lynn Vision
  • AMKAL
  • KOI
  • Legacy

The Opening Stage of the PGL Major Copenhagen is rapidly approaching, set to commence on March 17 and wrap up on March 20. Those advancing directly to the Elimination Stage will benefit from additional prep time, with their matches scheduled to begin on March 21.
