IEM Sydney 2023 will be held on CS2
ESL has announced its transition to CS2. The final tournament in the CS:GO discipline will be ESL Pro League Season 18.
Organizers have confirmed that IEM Sydney 2023 will take place on the CS2 platform. Additionally, during ESL Impact League Season 4, a transition to the new version of the shooter will occur, with the first match scheduled for October 4th.

Furthermore, if the change occurs during a competition and a situation arises where team positions are determined by the round difference, a decisive match will be played. This rule has been introduced due to the transition from the MR15 system to MR12.
