Review of Cyber.bet Summer Cup 2020 and tips for the championship
Ihor MatusGeneral information
The event will be happening for 10 days. In this period we will have a chance to see how eight contestants will define a quartette of the best teams that will fight in the playoff and share the prize pool of $10,000.
Format and prize pool
The group stage will be taking place by the GSL system. The teams will get divided into two groups with four participants in each. These quartettes will fight in the double-elimination bracket. The encounters will be held in the Bo3 format. It concerns both the playoff stage and the grand final in particular.
Two best teams from each group will enter the playoff which is going to happen in the double-elimination bracket. The prize pool will be divided among three best contestants of the championship and it means that the teams that will make it to the playoff will not take part in its division but one team will.
The money will be shared by the contestants in the following way:
- 1 place: $6,000
- 2 place: $3,000
- 3 place: $1,000
As for the participants, all the teams got direct invitations. The list of the lucky esportsmen is represented by Ambush Esports, Apeks, Budapest Five, HellRaisers, Illuminar Gaming, SKADE, Smash Esports, and Unicorns of Love.
Tips for bets
As we can see, the upcoming championship will be interesting and you can use it to make some money. We will give a couple of tips for you to pay attention to the teams that may help you to achieve the goals.
In our opinion, the main favorite is HellRaisers. This team is the most famous of all who we could see in the list of participants. The esports club signed five players in the end of April and now the players are motivated to show great results and it means that this team should be noticed. HellRaisers are likely to win the championship.
If someone is capable of beating HellRaisers, this is Illuminar Gaming. The roster of the Polish team is made up by, perhaps, ones of the most popular CS:GO players in Poland: Snax, innocent, reatz, Vegi, and mouz.
This way we found the favorite in Group A, HellRaisers, and the favorite in Group B, Illuminar Gaming.
If we take a look at the flip side of the coin, we strongly recommend not to place a bet on ex-SMASH Esports, as the players are in very bad shape and are unlikely to please us with our performance. On the other side, we may use it and bet on the European team.
We want to emphasize that the battles will be held in the Bo3 series, so we may consider an alternative of the additional markets like “Handicap +/- 1.5 of a map” and others. In case of ex-SMASH Esports, you can use it for sure as, for example, Illuminar from Group B is unlikely to give the Europeans even one map even if it is unlikely.
