ESL One Road to Rio 2020: event digest

Most of the past matches ended not quite as expected by the audience, analysts and commentators. For this reason, watching ESL One Road to Rio 2020 was interesting both this weekend and it is so curious to watch what is happening now.

Oceania

In the countries of Oceania, the Renegades reached the grand finals, passing the semifinals, and beat ORDER with a score of 2-1. Having won the division for the countries of Oceania, RNG received the main cash prize of $ 6,000 and earned 1600 rating points. ORDER took away $ 3,000 and 1,500 points as a consolation prize.

Asia

Here, not TYLOO, but TIGER suddenly showed themselves best. In the grand final, Gen.G Esports fought with FURIA Esports and not without difficulty took first place in the championship with a score of 2-1. The main cash prize was $ 18,000, and the number of rating points earned is equal to 1,600. FURIA Esports took with them $ 13,000 and 1,500 ESL Pro Tour points.

Europe

In the European division, the group stage has come to an end. According to its results, Astralis, G2 Esports, NiP and FaZe Clan reached the top of the playoffs, and Team Vitality, GODSENT, Team Heretics and North reached the bottom. mousesports and Fnatic were surprisingly unable to get out of the group stage.

CIS

Unlike the European division, in the CIS region, not 8 participants left the group stage, but 6. Team Spirit and Hard Legion Esports showed themselves best of all and immediately went to the semifinals. Virtus.pro, Nemiga Gaming, Winstrike and Syman reached the quarter-finals. Natus Vincere could not meet the expectations of their fans and completed their journey in the group stage. In the last match, with great effort, they almost managed to beat Hard Legion Esports, but the latter showed themselves better this time and in the end took first place in Group B.
