FaZe Clan reached the semi-finals of PGL Major Antwerp 2022

The FaZe Clan team outplayed Ninjas in Pajamas with a score of 2:1 and advanced to the semi-finals of PGL Major Antwerp 2022. In turn, the major for the Swedish team ended in another failure in the 1/4 finals.

The first quarter-final of the major started on the Nuke map, which became the choice of FaZe Clan. But if the first half passed with a slight margin in favor of the Swedes, then after the change of sides, the “hosts” quickly leveled the gap. As a result, FaZe Clan confidently took advantage of the opponent's mistakes to take the lead in the series — 16:10.

Then the teams moved to the Overpass map, the first half of which went in an equal fight. After switching sides, the teams continued to trade in a series of rounds until Ninjas in Pajamas won the economic fight to break the opponent and level the series score - 16:13.

Everything was decided on the Inferno map, where the Swedes had a starting advantage. However, closer to the change of sides, and after and in the second half, the initiative was completely owned by the FaZe Clan players. As a result, karrigan and the company confidently closed out the Swedes and advanced to the semi-finals of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 — 16:8.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 takes place from 9 to 22 May at the Antwerps Sportpaleis in Belgium. During the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Asia, Oceania, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, ranking points in the EPT and BLAST Premier tables, as well as one ticket to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.

  • 12th-14th place: BIG, Outsiders and Cloud9 - $8,750 + 200 EPT points.
  • 15-16th place: Team Liquid and Bad News Eagles - $8,750 + 105 EPT points.
  • 17th-19th place: Astralis, MIBR and forZe + 60 EPT points.
  • 20th-22nd place: IHC Esports, Complexity Gaming and Eternal Fire + 20 EPT points.
  • 23rd-24th place: Renegades and 9z.
