The teams Ninjas in Pajamas and Cloud9 got their first wins in the main stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022. In the first round of the competition, the teams outplayed Team Vitality (16:4) and Outsiders (16:12), respectively.

The confrontation between Ninjas in Pajamas and Team Vitality took place on the Overpass map, where the Swedish team managed to quickly seize the initiative. As a result, hampus and the company spent a confident half in defense, thereby putting the opponent in a disadvantageous position. Well, after switching sides, Ninjas in Pajamas managed to win the starting series of rounds in order to quickly finish the meeting and get the first victory in PGL Major Antwerp 2022 — 16:4.

A parallel meeting between Cloud9 and Outsiders took place on the Mirage map, the first half of which went in an equal fight, but with a minimal advantage in favor of dastan's wards. However, after the side switch, the Russian team, representing the colors of the North American club, managed to turn the tide of the game in order to break the opponent’s attack and make a victorious debut at the Belgian Major — 16:12.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 takes place from 9 to 22 May at the Antwerps Sportpaleis in Belgium. During the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Asia, Oceania, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, ranking points in the EPT and BLAST Premier tables, as well as one ticket to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
