The group stage of WePlay Academy League Season 3 has come to an end, as a result of which two teams have staked out the right to play at the final stage of the championship in Kiev. Now the remaining eight teams are starting to fight for the last two tickets to the WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals. In this regard, we suggest that you prepare for the start of the Play-In stage, get acquainted with the grid and get to know the remaining participants better.

Schedule and draw for WePlay Academy League Season 3: Play-In

The Play-In stage will take place online from January 14-16. Eight teams will compete for the two remaining tickets to the WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals. The second stage of the championship will begin with a series of quarter-finals, in which the two worst teams from each group will come face to face. Note that at this stage teams from different groups will not be mixed with each other.

Friday, January 14:

  • fnatic Rising - Astralis Talent.
  • VP.Prodigy - FURIA Academy.

The next day, the Play-In stage will continue with two semi-finals, in which the third-placed teams in their groups will face the winners of the quarterfinals played the day before.

Saturday 15 January:

  • NaVi Junior - Fnatic Rising/Astralis Talent.
  • Eternal Fire Academy - VP.Prodigy/FURIA Academy.

The last day of the outgoing week will present two final fights within the WePlay Academy League Season 3, which will determine the final composition of the participants in the final stage of the championship in Kiev.

Sunday, January 16:

  • Young Ninjas - NAVI Junior/Fnatic Rising/Astralis Talent.
  • Spirit Academy - Eternal Fire Academy/VP.Prodigy/FURIA Academy.

Favorites in the fight for places at WePlay Academy League Season 3 Finals

The main favorites from Group A are three teams at once: Young Ninjas, NAVI Junior and Fnatic Rising. These teams are more equal among themselves, showing a decent performance at the group stage. Such epithets are clearly lacking in Astralis Talent, which, on the contrary, expectedly failed in the group, finishing in last place with six points.

In the second grid, the situation is much easier. Here, the main favorite is Spirit Academy, which almost won the group stage, only six points behind the leader. At the same time, the Russian team can unpleasantly surprise opponents, since it will appear at the WePlay Academy League for the first time in the BO3 format.
