What you need to know about Pinnacle Fall Series 3 Regionals

The Pinnacle Fall Series 3 Regionals, the next tournament organized by the operator Relog Media, has started and anticipates LAN Sweet LAN 2022. Sixteen teams from Europe, Brazil and the CIS will compete for eight tickets to the main stage of the championship. The tournament is still divided into three parts, in each of which teams of different levels will play. Pinnacle Fall Series 3 Regionals format

The championship will start with the regional part, which is essentially a qualification for the main stage of Pinnacle Fall Series 3. There are 16 teams, concentrated in a single standings. The format of the event assumes the classic Swiss stage, in which the eight best teams, who won in three meetings, go to the next stage of the tournament.

All matches, without exception, will be held in the BO3 format. Initially, the teams are divided into four baskets, arranged according to their position in the world rankings. In the first round, the teams from the first basket will face the teams seeded in the fourth basket. In turn, the teams from the second and third baskets meet each other.

In the second round, the teams will be divided into two groups: "1-0" and "0-1". Teams from these groups will play randomly among themselves. In the third round, the teams will be divided into three groups: "2-0", "1-1" and "0-2". In this case, the teams represented in the same basket will also meet with each other.

In the fourth and fifth rounds, the teams will again be divided into groups, depending on the results in previous matches. In this case, the rule will be used, according to which the teams that have met earlier cannot play with each other again.

On Tuesday, November 16, the second round of the championship will be played, following which teams from two groups will play: "1-0" and "0-1".

Round three will take place on Wednesday, November 17th, with two teams qualifying for the Pinnacle Fall Series 3 while the other two teams will leave the championship.

On Thursday, November 18, six matches will take place, according to the results of which we will say goodbye to three teams, while the three teams that won in the "2-1" group will advance to the main stage of the championship.

On Friday, November 19, the final meetings of the Pinnacle Fall Series 3 Regionals will take place, which will determine the final list of the main stage of the tournament.

The Pinnacle Fall Series 3 Regionals will run online from November 15-19. 16 teams will compete for eight tickets to the main stage of the championship, where they will be joined by eight invited teams.
