Tournament and organizers
The organization ESL has become the organizer of the tournament. The organization holds CS:GO and Dota 2 tournaments. The upcoming event will be a part of a series of tournaments Intel Extreme Masters and Intel Grand Slam. We want to remind, that the first team which will receive 4 wins at the tournaments of the series Intel Grand Slam, will gain the money reward of $1,000,000.
The event will take place in the biggest city in Australia Sydney. The prize pool will consist of $250,000, and the holding place will traditionally become Qudos Bank Arena, where CS:GO tournaments have already take place.
There is no information about the division of the prize pool and the list of talents at the moment.
Holding format
The championship will start from the group stage. 16 collectives will be divided into 2 groups and each of them will have 8 participants. Each group will have teams playing in the bracket Double Elimination. The first matches will be played in the Bo1 format, and the other meetings will be played in the Bo3 series. The group stage will be held on 1-3 May. From 4 till 6 May the playoff stage will take place. Six best participants getting to the playoff will play in the bracket Single Elimination.
