Worlds 2025: A Complete Overview of All Teams

Worlds 2025 will take place from October 14 to November 9, with the grand final hosted at the iconic Mercedes-Benz Arena. Teams have been working toward this moment all year long, ready to prove their worth to the world and claim the top spot in the professional League of Legends scene.

Now we’ll take a closer look at each team — their journey to the World Championship 2025, as well as the results and achievements they bring with them into the biggest tournament of the year.
Gen.G Esports

Gen.G Esports are without a doubt the strongest team in the world right now. This year, they’ve won nearly everything there is to win, dominating both their region and the international stage. The team is in peak form, and the only thing missing to truly call 2025 the year of Gen.G is a victory at Worlds 2025.
- LCK 2025 Season - 1st place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 1st place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 1st place
- LCK 2025 Road to MSI – 1st place
- LCK Cup 2025 – 2nd place
Although the start of 2025 wasn’t the smoothest for Gen.G, the team still showcased an excellent level of play — narrowly losing 2–3 to Hanwha Life Esports in the finals and missing out not only on the match, but also on the First Stand title. After that, HLE confidently dominated the bracket and claimed the crown. However, Gen.G got their revenge at the LCK 2025 Road to MSI by defeating their rivals, and later went on to win another final — the LCK Regular Season. Overall, it’s been a very strong season for the team, and judging by their performance throughout the year and the mindset they’re bringing into Worlds 2025, the only thing left for them is to simply play their game to claim the title.
Hanwha Life Esports

Hanwha Life Esports are also one of the strongest teams in their region and highly competitive on the international stage. They started the year off on a high note, boosted by the arrival of top laner Zeus from T1. However, after a couple of strong victories, the team hit a slight slump, from which they only began to recover toward the end of the season.
- LCK 2025 Season - 2st place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 5th-8th place
- LCK 2025 Road to MSI – 3st place
- 2025 First Stand Tournament - 1st place
- LCK Cup 2025 – 1nd place
Without a doubt, the team has delivered some strong results this year, but they remain fairly inconsistent in crucial moments. They’re capable of turning around a game that seemed all but lost, yet just as easily letting a winning position slip away. There’s no question that they’re one of the most dangerous opponents for any team, but in their case, the key will be to stay composed and play with a cool head, closing out every game with discipline.
KT Rolster

KT Rolste r earned their spot at Worlds 2025 through hard work and determination. However, throughout the season their results were fairly average, and this will be their first international tournament of the year. Such pressure, combined with a season without major victories, could impact the team’s morale — but at the same time, they stand as the ultimate underdogs, capable of surprising any opponent.
- LCK 2025 Season - 3rd place
- LCK 2025 Road to MSI - 4th place
- LCK Cup 2025 -5th-6th - place
The team has the potential to fight for a Top 5–8 finish at the tournament, which would already be a solid result and a strong foundation for next season. Make no mistake, their roster is capable of winning, and if they avoid major reshuffles after this season, it’s quite possible that next year they’ll come back even stronger and challenge the best teams in the world.
T1

Credit: @T1LoL
A legendary team that needs no introduction — five-time World Champions with an impressive collection of titles beyond just Worlds. However, despite their legacy, 2025 started with serious challenges for T1, largely due to the departure of their star top laner Zeus to HLE.
- LCK 2025 Season - 4th place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 3rd place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 2nd place
- LCK 2025 Road to MSI – 2nd place
- LCK Cup 2025 – 5th - 6th place
Despite all the difficulties, T1 is still T1 — and it’s already clear that the team is gradually regaining form ahead of the World Championship 2025. For T1, Worlds has always been the stage where they transform into an entirely different team and deliver an incredible level of play. So even after a season without titles, they remain strong contenders for the championship. Their first opponent will be Invictus Gaming. The T1 vs Invictus Gaming match is set for October 14, 2025 — 11:00 EEST, so make sure you don’t miss it.
Anyone's Legend

Credit: X: @AnyonesLegend
From the strongest region in the world — the LPL — comes a relatively young team that has steadily risen to the level of world-class competition. While they struggled to achieve major success in 2022 and 2023, things changed in late 2024 when their first significant victories and standout results arrived. And of course, their performance in 2025 has continued to delight fans.
- LPL 2025 Split 3 - 3rd place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 2nd place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 3rd place
- LPL 2025 Split 2 – 1st place
- LPL 2025 Split 1 – 2nd place
The Anyone`s Legend team has proven itself not only as one of the strongest in their region but also as a squad capable of winning on the international stage. Several times they came within a step of claiming a championship title, falling just short. Worlds 2025 is their chance to make a statement once again, and without question, they are among the top contenders for the crown.
Bilibili Gaming

Credit: X: @BilibiliGaming
Bilibili Gaming are among the leaders of their region, and China’s LPL is rightfully considered one of the strongest and most competitive leagues in the world. The team has shown fairly solid results this year. Certainly, they could have done much better, but it is what it is. Still, their recent victory at the LPL 2025 Split 3 should give them a boost of confidence heading into the upcoming tournament.
- LPL 2025 Split 3 - 1st place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 5th - 8th place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 4th place
- LPL 2025 Split 2 – 2nd place
- LPL 2025 Split 1 – 4th place
As you can see from their results, the team has been gradually building form ahead of Worlds 2025. And knowing what Chinese players are capable of, there’s no way they can be counted out. On top of that, the unexpected jungler swap after the Esports World Cup 2025 surprisingly paid off. So, this team is either set to soar — or faces the risk of stumbling hard.
Top Esports

Credit: X: @TOP_Esports_
The third representative of the LPL region had a fairly good season, at least within their domestic league. However, the team has shown moments at major tournaments where they either seemed to relax or underestimate their opponents — leading to losses against teams they really shouldn’t have lost to.
- LPL 2025 Regional Finals - 1st place
- LPL 2025 Split 3 - 2nd place
- LPL 2025 Split 2 - 5th-6th place
- 2025 First Stand Tournament - 3rd-4th place
- LPL 2025 Split 1 - 1st place
Looking at the results, the Top Esports has performed quite well — by some standards, even impressively. However, in certain games, it almost feels as if they were a completely different team. There’s no doubt they are very strong and capable of beating many opponents at Worlds 2025, but at the same time, they’re also at risk of losing to just about anyone.
Invictus Gaming
Once one of the strongest teams in the world, capable of challenging any opponent, they’ve significantly declined in recent years. The team hasn’t had any major victories for about five years and has long been absent from the international stage. And this year can hardly be called a particularly successful one for them either.
- LPL 2025 Regional Finals - 2nd place
- LPL 2025 Split 3 - 5th-6th place
- LPL 2025 Split 2 - 3rd place
- LPL 2025 Split 1 - 7th-8th place
On top of that, the Invictus Gaming team is at serious risk of finishing 17th and being eliminated on the very first day of the tournament. Their opening match is set for October 14 at 11:00 EEST — a do-or-die clash against T1. Of course, Invictus Gaming should never be underestimated, but T1 is certainly not the kind of team that approaches any match with their guard down.
G2 Esports

A legendary team from Europe, always performing consistently well in their region and ready to challenge any team in the world. Compared to 2024, their results in 2025 have been a bit weaker, but that’s largely because the team was still in the process of building synergy after two roster changes.
- LEC 2025 Summer - 1st place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 4th place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 7th-8th place
- LEC 2025 Spring – 2nd place
- LEC 2025 Winter – 2nd place
With each new tournament, the team kept improving their gameplay, which positively impacted their results. If G2 Esport s can perform even close to the level they showed at EWC 2025, they have a very real chance of reaching the Top 4.
KOI

Credit: X:@MovistarKOI
MKOI truly found their stride this year, delivering excellent results in their regional league. For many, their success in the 2025 season came as a major surprise and a pleasant revelation.
- LEC 2025 Summer - 2nd place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 5th-8th place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 7th-8th place
- LEC 2025 Spring – 1st place
- LEC 2025 Winter – 4th place
For a young team, this is their very first Worlds appearance — already a huge achievement in itself. In my opinion, they have what it takes to fight for a Top 8–10 finish. Securing anything higher will be extremely difficult given the fierce competition, but it’s still a major step forward for the organization.
Fnatic

Fnatic have consistently delivered solid results on the regional stage and performed quite well internationally as well. Compared to last year, however, the team experienced a slight decline. It wasn’t a disastrous season, but they repeatedly found themselves just one step away from qualifying for international tournaments.
- LEC 2025 Summer - 3rd place
- LEC 2025 Spring - 4th place
- LEC 2025 Winter - 3rd place
Despite all the challenges, the team managed to reach the biggest tournament of the year. A key factor in this was a mid lane replacement. On July 21, Fnatic signed a promising young player, Poby, a talent developed in T1’s academy. This move can definitely be considered an upgrade. And even if they don’t achieve the desired result at Worlds 2025, they’ve already secured a strong asset for the upcoming seasons.
FlyQuest

Credit: X:FlyQuest
FlyQuest is a team from LTA North with substantial international experience. Their year didn’t start off too well, but afterward, they found their rhythm — managing to qualify for two major international tournaments.
- LTA North 2025 Split 3 -1st place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 5-8th place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 5th-6th place
- LTA North 2025 Split 2 – 1st place
- LTA 2025 Cross-Conference – 3rd–4th place
- LTA North 2025 Split 1 – 3rd place
The team is more than capable of repeating last year’s achievement — finishing in the Top 5–8 at Worlds 2024. In fact, even at MSI 2025 this season, they could have advanced further if not for a bit of bad luck in their match against BLG. That’s why FlyQuest are a very worthy opponent and a true dark horse in the competition.
Keyd Stars

I think it’s fair to call Keyd Stars the breakout team of the year from the LTA South region. Just last year, they were more of a mid-tier squad, competing in A-tier tournaments and finishing anywhere from 9th to 2nd place. But this year, despite a rather shaky start, the team has risen to an entirely new level.
- LTA 2025 Championship - 2nd place
- LTA South 2025 Split 3 - 1st place
- LTA South 2025 Split 2 - 4th place
- LTA South 2025 Split 1 - 7th-8th place
Qualifying for Worlds is already an incredible leap for the team and a showcase not only for the entire LTA South region but also for the global scene — proving that with hard work, a team can grow tremendously. For Keyd Stars, finishing in the Top 10–8 would already be a great result, serving as a springboard for the years to come.
100 Thieves
Another team from LTA North, 100 Thieves delivered fairly consistent results throughout the 2025 season and rightfully earned their spot at Worlds 2025. Unfortunately, they didn’t get the chance to compete internationally earlier this year to build momentum before Worlds, but within their region, their performance has been very solid.
- LTA 2025 Championship - 3rd place
- LTA North 2025 Split 3 - 2nd place
- LTA North 2025 Split 2 - 5th-6th place
- LTA 2025 Cross-Conference - 2nd place
- LTA North 2025 Split 1 -1st place
Last year, the team also qualified for Worlds but was eliminated in the first stage, finishing 17th–18th. This year, they kept most of their roster intact while strengthening it by signing Dhokla, who plays in the top lane, rotating with Sniper.
CTBC Flying Oyster

Credit: X:@CTBC_cfo
CTBC Flying Oyster proudly represent their region (LCP). Thanks to their consistent play, the team is not only progressing themselves but also helping strengthen their region’s position on the international stage. And 2025 has clearly shown just how much a team can grow in such a short period of time.
- LCP 2025 Season Finals - 1st place
- Esports World Cup 2025 - 9th-10th place
- 2025 Mid-Season Invitational - 5th-6th place
- LCP 2025 Mid Season – 1st place
- 2025 First Stand Tournament – 3rd–4th place
- LCP 2025 Season Kickoff – 1st place
A highly successful season and valuable international experience should allow them to secure a strong position at Worlds 2025. They are another team coming in as dark horses, fully capable of surprising any opponent with their play.
Secret Whales

A newly formed team - Secret Whales, created only this year, that has already qualified for Worlds 2025. That alone can be considered a major achievement for such a young squad. There isn’t too much to say about them yet, but here are their results from this season:
- LCP 2025 Season Finals
- LCP 2025 Mid Season
- LCP 2025 Season Kickoff
At the moment, they’re probably one of the weaker participants at Worlds 2025. Of course, they shouldn’t be counted out completely, but realistically, a 16th–13th place finish seems to be their ceiling at this tournament.
PSG Talon

Rounding out our list is PSG Talon, who didn’t deliver their best results but can’t be called a weak team either. Worlds 2025 will be their first international tournament of the year.
- LCP 2025 Season Finals - 3rd place
- LCP 2025 Mid Season -3rd place
- LCP 2025 Season Kickoff - 2nd place
Last year, they also qualified for Worlds 2024, where they finished in 12th–14th place. I believe this year they’re likely to end up in a similar position.
Our Take and Prediction for the World Championship 2025
It’s no surprise that Korea and China are once again considered the favorites at every tournament, and Worlds 2025 will be no exception. Still, the most consistent and dominant team this year — and the main contender for the championship title — is Gen.G. But the big question remains: after so many victories and such a heavy workload, will they arrive at the biggest tournament of the year already exhausted? We’ll find out very soon.
The competition this year is perhaps the strongest it’s ever been — every region has improved significantly, and nearly every team at the tournament is capable of beating one another. Of course, it would be fascinating to see a team from a non-favorite region rise to the top. But realistically, we can expect either an all-Korean final or a Korea vs. China showdown.
Our team will be covering Worlds 2025, so make sure to save LoL News to stay updated on all the highlights of the biggest tournament of the year. Enjoy watching — and may the team you’re cheering for come out on top at the League of Legends World Championship!
