What is Fortnite Music Pass and Season 6 Music Pass

The Music Pass (formerly known as the Festival Pass) is a seasonal cosmetic item bundle for the Fortnite Festival. It allows players to earn rewards by gaining XP (formerly Festival Points) during the event.
In this article, we explain or remind you what the Fortnite Music Pass is and show what Rewards you can claim in Music Pass now in Fortnite Festival Season 6.
What is Fortnite Music Pass

Unlike the Battle Pass, the rewards in the Music Pass are not exclusive to the season they are introduced in, and many items will likely be added to the item shop after the season concludes. However, players cannot access Music Passes from previous seasons.

Currently, the Music Pass is divided into two tracks:
- Paid Premium Track: This includes 11 rewards and a bonus cosmetic item that comes with the purchase of the track.
- Free Track: This is available to all players, offering a selection of rewards without the need to pay.

The Music Pass follows a layout similar to some event quests introduced in Find the Force. It also marks an evolution from the previous Festival Pass, which was used in earlier seasons.
The Microphone is the only instrument type not yet featured as one of the final three rewards in either the free or paid tiers of any Festival Pass or Music Pass track.

Name and Cost Changes:
- Before Season 6, the Music Pass was called the Festival Pass.
- The paid track used to cost 1,800 V-Bucks, but this has been reduced to 1,400 V-Bucks.
- Each reward tier in the Festival Pass used to cost 1,000 Festival Points, with a total of 11,000 Festival Points to unlock all rewards.
- This was later replaced with a requirement of 160,000 XP per tier in the Music Pass, totaling 1,760,000 XP for all rewards.

Changes to Accessibility. The Festival Pass was only available when the Fortnite Festival game mode was selected. However, with Update v32.00, the Music Pass became accessible regardless of the mode selected.
Future Music Passes: Going forward, the Music Pass will feature a single reward track, with both free and paid rewards, similar to the format of the Battle Pass.
What is the Fortnite Festival

Fortnite Festival is a rhythm game developed by Harmonix, integrated within Fortnite, that was released on December 9th, 2023. The event features three distinct playlists, each offering a different experience:
- Main Stage: Likely the central hub for major music events, where players can enjoy featured tracks and performances.

- Battle Stage: This playlist might combine music-based gameplay with elements of competition, possibly incorporating battle mechanics alongside rhythm challenges.
- Jam Stage: A more casual and creative playlist where players can probably play along to tracks or even jam with other players in a less structured format.

The inclusion of these different stages allows for a variety of music experiences within the game, making Fortnite Festival a unique blend of rhythm-based gameplay and Fortnite’s iconic battle royale mechanics.
