You can also find analytical streams, community broadcasts, and watch parties hosted by third-party creators and experts.
Group Format and Structure
The group stage features 12 teams, split into Group Alpha and Group Omega, each with 6 teams. All matches are played in a single round-robin format as Best-of-Three.
Group stage outcomes:
- 1st–2nd place: Advance directly to the playoff semifinals
- 3rd–4th place: Enter the first round of the upper bracket
- 5th place: Starts in the lower bracket
- 6th place: Eliminated from the tournament
Some teams will have to put in a serious effort just to fight for 5th place in the group — let alone aiming for the top 1–4 spots.
Why This Week Matters
Stage 2 plays a crucial role in determining which teams from the EMEA region will advance to:
- The Stage 2 Playoffs (August 21–31)
- Champions Paris 2025 — the year’s biggest event. The top two teams from Stage 2 qualify directly, and two more will qualify via Championship Points
This is week 2 out of 5 in the regular season, which runs until August 15. Every match win brings teams closer to playoff seeding and potential qualification for Champions.
