RMR tournament preview - favourites and contenders for the trip to Paris

The RMR tournaments, the last of their kind in the CS:GO discipline, are about to begin. 56 competitors in three regions will compete for the right to go to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. Despite the fierce competition in Europe and the Americas, the increasing number of participants in Asia also adds to The International rugby. With that in mind, here's a look at the favourites for each RMR tournament, not forgetting the limited available tickets.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Europe RMR A

Competitors:

  • Virtus.pro
  • MOUZ
  • fnatic
  • NAVI
  • Bad News Eagles
  • Sprout
  • FaZe Clan
  • GamerLegion
  • Falcons
  • OG
  • Apeks
  • 1WIN
  • Into The Breach
  • Viperio
  • B8 Esports
  • SAW

Two obvious contenders for a trip to Paris are FaZe Clan and NAVI, the other two are Virtus.pro, MOUZ, Bad News Eagles and OG. Thus, the remaining two slots will be heavily contested, with GamerLegion and fnatic having the best chance.

Falcons, Apeks, and 1WIN should be among those who make it to the next stage. Well, Into The Breach, SAW, B8 Esports, Sprout and Viperio have the least chance to compete with the favorites.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Europe RMR B

Contestants:

  • Heroic
  • Cloud9
  • Team Spirit
  • BIG
  • ENCE
  • Vitality
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • 9INE
  • G2 Esports
  • Eternal Fire
  • Astralis
  • Monte
  • iNation
  • Aurora
  • FORZE
  • 500

Things are a lot more complicated here, as the line-up has been truly evenly matched. Nevertheless, Heroic, Cloud9 and G2 Esports stand out from the competition, so will be favourites in terms of the battle to reach the Legends stage. As the 'shadow favourites', ENCE, Vitality and BIG are worth mentioning and will surely be able to show their strengths.

For the remaining two straight slots there will be a fierce battle between Team Spirit, Astralis, FORZE and Ninjas in Pyjamas. Among those who may surprise, one can't help but notice the Poles from 9INE and the team Aurora. And Monte, Eternal Fire, 500 and iNation will hardly claim more than participation.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Americas RMR

Contestants:

  • FURIA
  • Team Liquid
  • BESTIA
  • Complexity Gaming
  • Imperial Esports
  • paiN Gaming
  • Fluxo
  • MIBR
  • Flamengo Esports
  • yur
  • Paqueta Gaming
  • Solid
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Nouns Esports
  • 00NATION
  • TeamOne

In terms of competition, the American RMR event could really kick ass in both European Championships. That's because there are only five slots, with sixteen participants competing for them at once.

However, the main favourites for the event are FURIA, Team Liquid and Imperial Esports as these teams will almost certainly clinch spots in Paris. However, Complexity Gaming, MIBR, paiN Gaming and Fluxo will be battling for the other two spots, so it's well worth expecting The International to be a very tense affair.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Asia RMR

Contestants:

  • TheMongolz
  • Eruption
  • Grayhound Gaming
  • VERTEX
  • Rare Atom
  • TYLOO
  • Invictus International
  • Twisted Minds

There are only two slots available for Asia in the majors. However, the difference between the competitors is also significant. As a result, it looks like the main battle will unfold between TheMongolz, Grayhound Gaming and Rare Atom. And given that the Australians got the easy grid, it is likely that they will be one of the two representatives of their region in Paris.

Counter-Strike, often abbreviated as CS, has cemented its place in the world of competitive online gaming since its inception. This first-person shooter game, which began as a modification for Half-Life, quickly evolved into a global phenomenon, with millions of players and a thriving esports scene. Over the years, CS has undergone several iterations, with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) being the latest and most popular version. One aspect that has grown alongside the game's popularity is the emergence of CS: GO trading sites. These CS2 trading sites allow players to buy, sell, and trade in-game items such as weapon skins, stickers, and more. This virtual economy has added a unique layer of depth to the game, creating a bustling marketplace that's become integral to the CS experience.
