As already mentioned, the great advantage of working from home is that people will be in the comfort of their own homes. All they really need is a computer, a laptop and a good enough internet connection to be able to do their respective tasks. Another great advantage is that, despite the schedules, there is more flexibility when doing the work at home. The employee can have a leisurely lunch without having to move around too much.

Similarly, there are some professional branches that have no problem in handling work at home. Programmers, graphic designers and even language teachers are among the fields that are perfectly suited for this. Therefore, many of them still work for companies or even as freelancers.

On the negative side, there are many details that can be underlined. And the first of them clearly has to do with the sedentary lifestyle. As long as a person spends more time at home, if they do not know how to manage their time well and do not even do physical activity at home, they can gain weight exponentially. This can lead to obesity and even heart problems. On the other hand, social skills are lost a lot. The less the person leaves the house, the less he or she will be able to interact with others, and this can lead to problems such as depression or anxiety.

Working in the office

While we are on the subject of working at home, it is time to move on to the office. Where people can work regular or extra hours depending on what they are asked to do. While it is true that the modality has changed a bit after the pandemic, that does not mean that people are going back to the same old ways. Here are the pros and cons of this type of work.

Positives and negatives of office work

As an indispensable point, it is good to be able to interact with other people. By being in one place for a certain period of time, you make new friends or at least have people with whom you can express yourself. Also, whether it is a dress code or simply personal hygiene, going out to the office requires individuals to take a little care of their appearance and that in one way or another helps a lot in self-esteem and self-worth as a human being. This is especially true for jobs that require elegant and high-status dress.

In addition, getting out of their homes at least gets people a little bit physically active. While it is recommended that they get at least 30 minutes of exercise, there are some who can do a little more or after work at a gym. This has a positive impact on productivity and mental health.

On a negative note, the benefits of being able to work at home are lost. If a person feels unwell and has to go out, there is no option but to show up. Some companies simply do not accept breaks, especially if they have deliveries to make on a certain date. Also, having to meet schedules means that the person has to go, and it can be complicated not only by the state of health, but also by the fact that the office is a bit far away from the person's place of residence.
