Patch 7.32e: basic character changes
Maksym ShylovOn the night of March 6-7, Valve officially unveiled update 7.32e for Dota 2. The new patch brought a number of balance changes, a new event, a new character named Muerta, a new chest, as well as many other minor fixes. We've written about in-game item balance changes before. In this feature you will learn about which characters have received a boost, and which, on the contrary, were weakened and and how it will affect when teams play in Dota 2 matches.
Basic character changes
Alchemist
UNSTOPPABLE CONCOCTION
- Max stun duration increased from 1.75/2.5/3.25/4 seconds to 2.2/2.8/3.4/4 seconds
CHEMICAL RAGE
- Additional damage per scepter gift increased from 20 to 25
Anti-Mage
- Attack Delay decreased from 0.6 seconds to 0.3 seconds.
MANA VOID
- Stuns all affected units
Rather strong ultimacy gained a minor stan of 0.3 duration.
Brewmaster
PRIMAL SPLIT
- Fire Warrior's armor increased from 0/4/8 to 0/8/16
Developers decided to increase the survivability of the not-so-dense fire spirit.
Broodmother
SPIN WEB
- Maximum additional speed decreased from 18/28/38/48% to 10/22/34/46%
SPINNER'S SNARE
- Charge replenishment time increased from 20 to 30 seconds
SPAWN SPIDERLINGS
- Life time of spiderlings decreased from 40/45/50 to 40 seconds
- Life time of spiderlings reduced from 60 to 40 seconds
One of the imbalanced heroes from the previous patch was postponed. Weakened the spiders considerably, but it is unclear if that will be enough.
Centaur Warrunner
HITCH A RIDE.
- Imposes the Stampede ability on the wielder (if it's already in effect, it adds durations instead of updating)
- Charge has been decreased from 45 to 30 seconds.
Makes the purchase of Aghanim's Scepter even more attractive since the positive effects of the ability were previously insufficient for many players.
Death Prophet
- Intelligence gain reduced from 3.3 to 3.
- Strength Gain reduced from 3.1 to 2.9
TALANTS
- 10th level Talent: Bonus to magic resistance reduced from 14% to 12%.
- Talent level 15: "+30 to Spirit Siphon damage/healing" replaced with "+300 to health".
- Talent level 20: "+400 to health" replaced by "+30 to Spirit Siphon damage/healing".
Overall, the changes are aimed at reducing Death Prophet's density late in the game.
Drow Ranger
FROST ARROWS.
- Reduced health regeneration per effect with Aghanim's Shard reduced from 10% to 8%.
MARKSMANSHIP
- Now gives allied ranged heroes only half the additional agility
Enchantress
ENCHANT
- Reload now changed from 28/24/20/16 to 30/24/18/12 seconds
- Movement slowdown rescaled from 55% to 30/40/50/60%
- Deceleration duration changed from 3.75/4.5/5.25/6 to 5 seconds
LITTLE FRIENDS
- Distance of application increased from 600 to 750
The not-so-popular Enchantress has received a nice enhancement. It will be interesting to see if this will affect how often the hero appears in ranked games or on the pro scene.
Grimstroke
INK SWELL
- Damage per second increased from 25/35/45/55 to 25/40/55/70 (total of 75/120/165/210 damage)
SOULBIND
- Reload decreased from 90/70/50 to 70/60/50 seconds
Juggernaut
- Base damage increased from 50-54 to 53-55
BLADE FURY
- Attack interval with Aghanim's Shard increased from 1.2 to 1.4 seconds
BLADE DANCE
- Critical Damage has increased from 180% to 190%.
TALENTS
- Level 10 Talent: Blade Fury Radius Bonus increased from 75 to 100
Lina
DRAGON SLAVE
- Reload duration increased from 9 to 12/11/10/9 sec.
LIGHT STRIKE ARRAY
- Mana consumption increased from 100/105/110/115 to 115
FIERY SOUL
- Additional attack speed per effect decreased from 10/20/30/40 to 8/16/24/32
- Additional movement speed per effect decreased from 1.5/2/2.5/3% to 1/1.5/2/2.5%.
TALENTS
- Talent level 15: Health Bonus reduced from 350 to 250
- Talent level 20: Bonus to boost health for Fiery Soul effect reduced from 15/1% to 10/1%.
Another extremely strong and popular character from the previous update. A well-deserved and expected nerve, affecting both abilities and talents.
Naga Siren
ENSNARE
- Range slashed from 575/600/625/650 to 500/525/550/575
- Range multiplier with Aghanim's Scepter increased from 1.5 to 1.6
SONG OF THE SIREN
- Reload increased from 160/120/80 to 180/130/80 seconds
REEL IN
- Attraction Speed increased from 150 to 200
Nature's Prophet
- Dexterity decreased from 22 + 3.6 to 20 + 3.4
- Intelligence Upgrade decreased from 3.7 to 3.5
WRATH OF NATURE
- Base Damage reduced from 115/150/185 to 105/145/185.
TALANTS
- Level 20 Talent: Bind from Sprout no longer passes through magic immunity
Ogre Magi
IGNITE
- Deceleration increased from 20/22/24/26% to 20/23/26/29%.
FIRE SHIELD
- Fireball damage increased from 125 to 160
Ignite has become an even nastier ability that can be used to regularly spam enemies in a lane.
Riki
SLEEPING DART
- Distance of use has been decreased from 1000 to 600
- Charge has been increased from 12 to 15 seconds
Riki's seemingly unbalanced Aghanim's Shard has been given a much-needed relief.
Sand King
EPICENTER
- Attack slowdown increased from 30 to 30/45/60
- Movement slowing increased from 30% to 30/40/50%.
TALENTS
- Level 10 Talent: Bonus to stun duration for Burrowstrike increased from 0.3 to 0.5 seconds
- 15th level Talent: Bonus to base damage from Caustic Finale increased from 100 to 120
Shadow Shaman
- Gold for killing totems reduced from 28-36 to 22-30
ETHER SHOCK
- Maximum range increased from 500 to 600
TALENTS
- Talent Level 15: Bonus to totem-killing range from Mass Serpent Ward increased from 120 to 140
The penalty for losing totems has been reduced, now their destruction by an opponent does not incur such a serious loss of gold as before, though it is still highly discouraged to give them to opponents. Also now with the totemu talent you get an even bigger bonus to attack range.
Treant Protector
LIVING ARMOR.
- Additional armor decreased from 6/8/10/12 to 4/6/8/10
NATURE'S GUISE
- No longer increases health recovery and cure
The developers made Treant Protector weaker when playing from a defensive position.
Warlock
CHAOTIC OFFERING
- Damage to Golems increased from 100/150/200 to 110/170/230.
- Damage to Golems with Aghanim's Scepter increased from 75/110/150 to 80/125/170
- Delay before a second golem with Aghanim's Scepter appears increased from 0.2 seconds to 0.5 seconds.
TALENTS
- Level 10 Talent: Bonus to Fatal Bonds damage increased from 3% to 4%.
Most heroes have received minor changes that will not radically affect their play in ranked matches or on the professional stage. But some of the most imbalanced representatives of the current pool the game developers made some minor changes for the sake of balance, although they left out some characters, such as Razor. Expect more innovations in the upcoming major update 7.33!
