New League of Legends Skins: Release Dates, Splash Arts, and In-game Previews

New skins from the Battle Academia and Aegis Frame series have been released on the test servers and will be added in upcoming patches. We can expect skins for four characters: Samira, Briar, Galio, and Ornn. Each of them will have an absolutely unique look with new animations and sounds. Let's move on to the review.

Which new League of Legends skins are coming soon?

As I mentioned a bit earlier, we are expecting four new skins in this drop. Here are the collections these skins will belong to:

Battle Professor Samira Skin Battle Academia Briar Skin Aegis Frame Galio Skin Aegis Frame Ornn Skin

The skins for Samira and Briar will be released in a similar style as they belong to the same universe. Bright neon colors emphasize and complement the style of the Battle Academia series. Meanwhile, the second part will be completely fresh for the game, namely Aegis Frame. This line will be made in a mecha style, turning our champions into robots or cyberpunk-style characters.

Battle Professor Samira Skin

The first skin from the series is the skin for Samira. The base skin will be in turquoise, gold, and green colors. The skin perfectly complements the previous skins released in the Battle Academia line, now making Samira an integral part of this universe. But that's not all; in addition to the base color, you will be able to purchase 8 different color variations of the skin. So everyone will find a color palette to their liking.

Release Date: January 21/22, Patch 26.02.

The skin will feature new animations, from Ctrl-key movements to death and teleport animations. Skill animations and sound effects have also been changed.

Battle Academia Briar Skin

The second skin under review is Battle Academia Briar. In my opinion, Briar fits perfectly into the Battle Academia universe specifically from the perspective of an academy student, and her restless nature is emphasized by very bright neon colors.

Price: 1350 RP

Release Date: January 21/22, Patch 26.02.

All animations and sounds will be reworked in this skin, complementing the complete image of Battle Academia Briar. Just as with the Samira skin, the developers have prepared 8 additional color palettes for Briar that you will be able to purchase.

Aegis Frame Galio Skin

The most expensive, yet the most detailed and interesting skin of this update is the Aegis Frame Galio Skin. Our familiar defender of Demacia turns into Optimus Prime.

Price: 1850 RP

Release Date: January 21/22, Patch 26.02.

The skin turned out to be very detailed and well-crafted from all sides. It is unpleasant to admit, but the death animation also looks incredibly good. All abilities and Ctrl actions have also been reworked to fit the style of Galio's new look. Additionally, 8 color schemes for the champion are also expected.

Aegis Frame Ornn Skin

Closing this skin line will be Ornn and his skin - Aegis Frame. It is made in a similar style to Galio, though slightly less detailed, but I cannot say that it is significantly worse. All abilities are high-quality reworks, and the animations and sound design are top-notch.

Release Date: January 21/22, Patch 26.02.

Ornn will be no exception and will also receive 8 additional color schemes.

New League Skins Conclusion

Riot Games are not loosening their grip, making skins higher quality every time and creating various universes for characters with unusual designs. It is also heartening that the development team does not forget about old skin lines and actively expands them without compromising on quality, making them worth every RP spent. There are many more interesting skins and lines ahead of us this season, and let's not forget that the season is dedicated to Demacia, so we should soon see some major addition from this series.
