NBA 2K Mobile updates for Season 6 and brings changes

The mobile game NBA 2K has posted its latest update on the Android and iOS app shops, announcing Season 6 with new features, accessories and technical configurations. The most significant change was the size, taking up more than 8GB on iPhones.

Career mode will now bring more opportunities to collect stars, with the possibility of a definitive line-up in categories such as Zircon, Cobalt and Garnet. In addition, it has brought the latest collections of accessories to renew MyPLAYER, as well as renewed graphics.

The launch of Season 6 also included improvements to the Groups mode, featuring 1x1 and 2x2 options, new outfits and accessories with daily and weekly rotation. It also allows for more customisation of Groups and promotes new rewards in MyTEAM, such as Group Challenges, with improved gameplay.

It also features more than 150 new cards introduced in three categories, and a new Tournament in each model.

NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition

Season 6 of the mobile game is called NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition and is the latest title in the franchise. Although it is available for both operating systems, several modes are exclusive to Apple Arcade, such as the new 'Greatest' mode.

Now, users must complete more challenges to earn points and build a solid reputation as a finisher, shooter or playmaker.

For the first time since launch, it's possible to take on the 40 "Greatest of All-Time" players from the league's 76th season, such as Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Dončić, as well as NBA betting legends such as Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The gameplay experience has been made more realistic with commentary from the National Basketball Association, including game narrators, sideline analysts and analysts such as Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, Steve Smith, Doris Burke, Clark Kellogg, Brent Barry and David Aldridge for the first time on Apple Arcade.

Performance on the court has been optimised with TakeOver, allowing you to perform GOAT basketball actions and filling up the skills meter, matching the style of play of the team chosen for the league. The special effects have also been enhanced.

In addition, NBA 2K now allows for a more complete journey in MyCAREER mode, customising the MyPLAYER's appearance with Nike, Jordan or Adidas clothing, position and jersey number before exercising on the new MyCOURT outdoor court.

However, it's worth remembering that these changes have increased the storage space required to 2GB for Android and 8GB for iOS.

Traditional features

Even with the new season announced, NBA 2K has retained some traditional gameplay features.

MyCAREER continues to allow fully customisable characters, including height, wingspan, weight, playing style and alignments with the user's preferred team. As you play, the stats get better, varying in shots, defences and dunks.

You can also use the MyCOURT private court to practise exercises and tutorials to improve your skills.

Also, for those who want to learn more about basketball, the league's teams and even NBA betting, the Coach mode remains valid, guiding your favourite franchise and building teams in the Association.

The player information is real, allowing users to evaluate real skills and control teams with several League stars. In addition, the update for Season 6 allows you to follow the stars who are still active, keeping the game realistic.

All the changes are available in Online Multiplayer mode and in 1v1, 3v3 or 5v5 game modes. All 40 NBA teams are available to compete with users over the internet, as well as playing basketball in real time.

In addition, the Cross-Platform Play function allows iOS owners to connect with console users to lock in matches and save the experience in the cloud.
