Juggernaut Guide
Yuriy SheremetThe hero is easy to learn, the work of his abilities is simple and straightforward, but this does not make Juggernaut's skills less effective. In an ideal universe, I would like to take the carry on the last pick, but Juggernaut can be taken already in the second stage, if the opponent showed his offlane or another core hero, the hero fits perfectly into any draft.
Pros and cons of the hero
pros
- Has good early kill potential
- Spell Immune
- Convenient attack animation
- Can restore health to himself and his team during a fight
Minuses
- Has no control
- Mana issues may occur
- Must constantly farm like the enemy carry, loses its strength when lagging
Hero abilities
Blade fury
The hero spins in a whirlwind of crushing blade blows, becoming immune to magic and damaging nearby enemies.
- Blade Fury cannot be used while Omnislash and Swiftslash are active;
- Does not interrupt Juggernaut's channeling spells on use;
- Applies spell immunity for full duration and base dispel upon use;
- Deals 18/23/28/33 (50/55/60/65) damage in 0.2 second intervals. after 0.2 sec. after use, dealing damage 25 times.
Healing ward
Summons a totem that heals all nearby allies and moves at a speed of 325. The amount of healing depends on the maximum health of the ally. Lasts 25 sec.
- After casting, the ward immediately follows Juggernaut, unless another command has been given to it;
- Recovery is presented in the form of an aura. The healing buff lingers for 2.5 seconds;
- Can heal up to 55%/82.5%/110%/137.5% of the creature's maximum health (the sum of the duration of the ward and the delay of the buff);
- Auras from multiple Healing Wards do not stack.
Blade Dance
Gives the hero a chance to deal critical damage with an attack.
- Critical hit drop is determined when swinging, not when hitting;
- Proc chances from multiple critical strike sources are combined;
- Chance uses pseudo-random distribution.
Omnislash
- Applies a basic dispel on use and grants Juggernaut invulnerability, spell immunity, and root for its entire duration;
- Attack interval equals Juggernaut's current attack speed divided by 1.5;
- Allows you to make instant attacks on jumping targets;
- With each jump, the Juggernaut spawns on the opposite side of its position near the target;
- If there are no suitable targets nearby within 0.15 seconds after the previous jump, the ability ends prematurely;
- Provides 200 radius flying vision around the target for 1 second with each hit.
- Reapplying an ability while an ability is already in effect will cancel the previous one and start a new one.
- This also works with Swiftslash applied during Omnislash and vice versa.
- The player's camera locks onto Juggernaut upon cast and moves with its position for as long as the ability is active.
Swiftslash (ability appears after purchasing Aghanim's Scepter)
The hero uses the short version of Omnislash.
Does not require Omnislash to be researched to unlock, unlocks immediately after purchasing Aghanim's Scepter.
Learning abilities
The priority is the first skill, because we want to look for frags on the lane, and also after leaving it to have a skill that will be useful in fights. Totem on the hill, if necessary, you can take it early. Hill 1 is enough to restore enough health.
Talents
In talents, discrepancies periodically arise and you need to act according to the situation, starting from your farm and the opponent's pick. At level 25, the talent at 475 health looks good, and the second of the ultimate does not give too much damage, so you need to take into account your artifacts and make a choice in favor of one of the talents. At high ratings and pro-stage at level 15, talent is often taken as a ward. If you have no problems with his control, then in an active game it is better to take him.

Items and builds
Examples of assemblies:
You always need to take some item for farming: lightning or BF, there is also a build through diffuza + manta, but in the current meta it is used only in certain situations. Next comes something for the stats Sange and Yasha or Manta Style. According to the situation, you can take a blink, if we are playing against nasty ranged carries that you need to quickly reach, you can also upgrade it and get additional agility and attack speed.
Eye of Skadi - Skadi is good because it significantly increases the main characteristics of the hero and allows you to slow down enemies with each hit.
Black King Bar - if there are too many control skills or magic damage in the enemy team, then BKB can be a good decision. Most often, this artifact is not used, since Jagger can avoid the action of some skills or take advantage of the invulnerability from the ult, but still there are situations when the BKB will be useful.
Gameplay
The following heroes do not necessarily counter Juggernaut 100%, but they can prevent it:
- Sammon characters: Furion, Chen, Lon Druid, Visage
- Mobile characters that are difficult to kill for Omnislesh without additional controls or items: Phantom Lancer, Morph, Anti-Mage, VR, Ricky, Slark, Weaver, Storm, Void and Void Spirit
- Heroes who can just tank the damage, and then kill Jagger even through Blade Fury: Ursa, Sven, Omniknight (he himself is unlikely to kill Juggernaut, but he can save his carry from Omnislesh)
The main feature of the Juggernaut that all players should know is Blade Fury during teleportation. You can use the ability even after the start of teleportation, it will not knock TP. You can go under t2 of the enemy, press 1 skill and so on, thereby killing the pack.
While Blade Fury is active, you still need to click on enemies for debuffs to work, for example, Skadi, Desolator, Basher or Lightning. If you click on the tower, then ordinary attacks will pass through it. Evenduring Blade Fury, you can inflict units like the Phoenix Egg, Pugna's Ward, or Unding's Tomba.
Omnislesh applies a basic dispel to the Juggernaut (removes debuffs such as slowdowns or misses). During Omnislash, not only the damage from the ability is inflicted, but also the Juggernaut's rightclicks. If Jagger was disarmed (for example, with the Halberd), then the damage from the ability itself will still be dealt.
When you get the 6th level on the lane, try to immediately implement it on some support, you don't even have to disdain and do TP on another lane. Try to farm your items by constantly connecting to your team, you should not stand in the forest all the time.
