Hytale Teleporters Guide: Easy Fast Travelling

Orbis (Hytale's world) is massive, and traveling here is a time-consuming challenge. Teleporters solve this by offering instant transportation between any two points. Mastering them is essential for efficient exploration and quick escapes from danger. This guide covers the entire process, from gathering initial resources to establishing a full teleporter network.
Preparing: Upgrade Workbench to Level 2
The first step toward fast travel is upgrading your workbench. This requires gathering specific resources to advance your crafting capabilities. You'll need to venture underground to find the necessary metals and defeat various enemies for linen scraps.
- Upgrade the Workbench to Level 2.
- Craft the Arcanist's Workbench.
With an upgraded workbench, you can access new recipes, including the one for the Arcanist's Workbench. This specialized station is where you will craft the teleporters themselves. If you’ve read our all workbenches guide, you know that crafting the Arcanist's Workbench requires Thorium Ingots, more Linen Scraps, and Essences of the Void, which are harvested from glowing creatures found only at night.

Teleporter Crafting Recipe
At the Arcanist's Workbench, you can finally craft the teleporters. The recipe produces two teleporters at once, allowing you to establish your first link immediately. The required Azure materials are found in the distinctly blue Azure Forest biome — more crafting recipes in our separate guide.
- 10 Stone (any kind)
- 8 Azure Logs
- 2 Azure Kelp
You can increase the number of teleporters you can place by visiting the Forgotten Temple. By turning in memories you've collected on your journey, you can expand your network.
- 0 memories to build 2 teleporters
- 25 memories to build 3 teleporters
- 50 memories to build 4 teleporters
- 100 memories to build 6 teleporters
- 200 memories to build 8 teleporters
Some sources indicate a starting limit of six teleporters, expandable to twelve. The information presented here reflects the most consistent data available.

How to Use a Teleporter
To use a teleporter in Hytale, you just need to place one portal at your starting point and the other at your destination. Interact with either teleporter to open a menu where you can name it and select its target warp from a list of all placed teleporters. This allows for a many-to-many network, meaning you can create complex travel routes or have all portals lead back to a central base.
Placed teleporters appear on the world map, so you can always see their locations. For efficiency, consider keeping a spare teleporter in your inventory to create an escape route from dangerous areas or a quick way to return home. Proper use of this system fundamentally changes how you navigate the world of Hytale.
