How To Get Deluxe Edition Akatosh Set In Oblivion Remastered

On April 22, 2025, the gaming community was shaken by the release of the remastered version of the legendary The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The action/RPG video game, developed by Virtuos and Bethesda Game Studios, immediately received positive feedback from players and critics for its original open-world structure and core gameplay mechanics. In addition, the graphical design in Oblivion Remastered was top-notch. Players were also intrigued by the in-game items, including the Deluxe Edition Akatosh Set and how to obtain them. In this article, we’ll provide you with a detailed guide on How To Get the Deluxe Edition Akatosh Set in Oblivion Remastered, so you can easily claim this unique gear.

How To Start Oblivion Deluxe Edition Quests

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is available in two editions: Standard and Deluxe. Purchasing the Deluxe Edition grants you several exclusive rewards, such as an artbook, soundtracks, and a set of unique in-game items. As the name suggests, the Akatosh Set is available only in the Deluxe Edition, and to obtain it, you’ll need to complete the exclusive Deluxe quests.

Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition includes two exclusive quests: "Burning Trail" and "A Wound in Time". In the Burning Trail questline, players follow a series of notes that lead to a secret cult devoted to Mehrunes Dagon, while in A Wound in Time, you must assist a priest in defeating a powerful lich who has taken up residence in a cave near Anvil.

Note: Only players who purchased Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition will be able to access these quests in the game.

To start the Oblivion Remastered Deluxe Edition quests, talk to NPCs and ask about “Rumors” until you learn about either a priest in Kvatch or Mythic Dawn notes in the Imperial City. Once you discover either rumor, mark the quest as active, and a quest marker will appear on your map. These quests can be completed at any character level, so there’s no need to rush or level up before starting.

The first note in the Mehrunes Dagon questline can be found in Talos Plaza, attached to a small barrel near the central fountain. Follow the clues to locate the next piece containing a Mythic Dawn leaflet. To begin the Akatosh quest, head to Kvatch and look for Ilav Dralgoner on the path leading up the hill to the Oblivion Gate and the city itself. He will direct you to Ayleid Ruins located north of Anvil.

How to Complete Quest

To obtain the Akatosh Set, you need to fully complete the questline. Here's a quick walkthrough:

  • Go to Beldaburo Ruins west of Kvatch.
  • Explore until you find a door blocked by magic.
  • Return to Ilav and mention “powerful magic”—he’ll bless you.
  • This completes A Wound in Time and begins Saving Time Itself.
  • Head back to Beldaburo. You can now pass through the magical door.
  • Defeat the Corelian Lich and take the Elder Scroll.
  • Return to Ilav to complete the questline and earn the title Paladin of the Hour.
