How to Become a Godzilla in Fortnite?

Godzilla has landed in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, stomping across the map as a devastating playable boss. Players can transform into the iconic kaiju by locating a randomly spawning portal – but the catch is, that only one player per match can claim the power.
Once transformed, you’ll unleash destruction with abilities capable of leveling cities and eliminating enemies. Here’s everything you need to know about finding the portal and becoming Godzilla.
Where is the Godzilla portal in Fortnite?
To transform into Godzilla in Fortnite, you must locate and enter a portal that spawns with only a 40% chance in each match. If the portal appears, it does so when the first Storm Circle begins to shrink, triggering a security alert on your screen with the message “Godzilla Portal is open,” alongside a ping marking its location on the map.

The portal’s position is also highlighted by a distinctive Godzilla icon, giving players a limited window to reach it. However, if the portal spawns far from your position, the competition to claim it becomes even fiercer as most players are still alive at that stage.
Failing to become Godzilla doesn’t mean you’re out of the fight – you can take on the towering kaiju and complete quests for damaging him. Focus your fire on the glowing spikes along his back to deal bonus damage and climb the damage leaderboard displayed beneath his health bar.

Where to find Kong in Fortnite?

In Fortnite, Kong has a 25% chance to spawn at a random location during a match. While you can’t fight or become Kong, spotting him from the battle bus guarantees that the Godzilla portal will appear later in the game.

When Kong does spawn, he drops supply crates containing valuable loot, such as railguns, before disappearing back into the rift. These items can be crucial for players preparing to take on Godzilla.

Godzilla is the only playable titan in Fortnite, accessible through the portal transformation system.
While Kong isn’t playable, you can still show your allegiance to Team Kong by picking up the Kong skin from the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks or grab the bundle featuring both Kong and MechaGodzilla skins for 2,800 V-Bucks, offering a better deal for collectors.

For a bonus experience, explore the mysterious footprints on the eastern shore of the map to earn 25,000 XP and immerse yourself in the titan-themed atmosphere. And even if you miss Kong during the Battle Bus phase, keep an eye out for Monarch Supply Drops – they’re packed with legendary gear and Shield Bubbles to give you a powerful edge in battle.
