Heroes Dota 2
Artem TkachenkoDota2 heroes - who are they? How many? Many more questions arise even among professional players and those who live in Dota.
Some basic information that will help us further
Almost each of them has its own “ancestor” from Defense of the Ancients, or as it is already commonly called DotA. DotA is a map made for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, based on the StarCraft map Aeon of Strife.
Let's start with their number. The original heroes were 112, after the creation of Dota2 and the transfer of all the heroes from DotA to the game, 11 more new heroes were added Monkey King, Dark Willow, Pangolier, Grimstroke, Mars, Void Spirit, Snapfire, Hoodwink, Dawnbreaker, Marci and Primal Beast (listing in order adding them to the game).
At the moment, there are 123 heroes in the game, including:
- 43 heroes with the main attribute - Intelligence
- 42 heroes with the main attribute - Strength
- 38 heroes with the main attribute - Agility
In the arsenal of each hero in Dota2 there are at least 4 abilities that gain their strength with each level of pumping: damage and duration.
Why minimum? Because the game provides for the purchase of Aghanim's Scepter or Aghanim's Shard, which can add new abilities to some characters, in addition to those 4 that are originally. There are also characters whose starting arsenal exceeds this number, but we will talk about them later.
Heroes with attribute - Intelligence
Now the heroes-intellectuals occupy the first place in terms of their number. All of them, except for Ogre Mage and Dark Seer, have an “Attack Type” - ranged.
Heroes with attribute - Strength
The second place of honor is occupied by the security forces. Unlike snipers, the main attack type of heroes with this attribute is melee, but there are five characters that stand out from the general picture: Io (Wisp), Phoenix, Huskar, Snapfire and Dragon Knight under the influence of Elder Dragon Form's ultimate ability.
Heroes with the attribute - Agility
Dodgers do not have such an advantage in terms of "attack type". They have a 50/50 split. 19 melee heroes and 19 ranged heroes.
Hero difficulty level
Game developers are trying to simplify the game as much as possible, thereby lowering the threshold for entering a complex and confusing game. Thus, they divided all the heroes into three levels of difficulty. Their complexity lies, for the most part, in execution: the complexity of spell combinations and maintaining the desired position in battle so as not to die in the first seconds of the fight. Do not flatter yourself - this division is symbolic, and is in the nature of understanding the character and his spells, because even on the simplest hero you need to learn and hone your game skills, improving your playing skills and assembling artifacts for different game situations and combinations of opponents.
